  1. From what I know and have read about these mushrooms is that in several cultures they are an object of worship because of their 'powerful' properties. Roots and fungi have been used for centuries in rituals across the world, and although the Amanita is poisonous, there are very few reports of them actually causing fatalities. "Can you do anything with the picture of a glowing mushroom?" - I'm not sure what you're asking here.
  2. These are all fun to look at and have a nice underlying style. Do I see Max Miller in the top picture?
  3. Another exquisite doodling from my imagination.
  4. Well. . .you only get out what you put in. Sometimes that harder the work, the better the result. And. . .I've never heard of JASC Animation Studio! I used to create GIF images with Photoshop back in the day (version 7). . .I can't believe that I said THAT word again. So I know the time and effort that goes into creating GIF animations. Time consuming, yes, but fun to do nonetheless.
  5. They're all good, but the nod towards Terry Gilliam done it for me. Should of part animated all of them.
  6. Ah! A future advertising poster for Elon Musk and his Starship adventures.
  7. I once did a few experiments using water (quite a lot actually) but I've never seen this type of effect before.
  8. Yes it does. Probably because the water was in a stainless steel sink, and adding to that the lighting which gave it a silvery look. I have always kept this image because it's odd.
  9. Speaking of weird images; I took this photo yonks ago and noticed some odd artefacts. The image is one of water with a fast shutter speed. Note the two elements on the left (bottom and high-middle). The top oddity reminds me of a drill or set of teeth, and as for the bottom - who knows? I'm sure there is a technical reason and explanation for why these artefacts appear in digital photos, I just don't know what they are.
  10. I can't say what it is, but can definitely see 1 face.
  11. You've just got to love any photo of Saturn taken by Cassini - composite or not, and going by the top left I see you've made an affirmative statement about the software used to create it. 😀
  12. Very warm and charming images, I almost expected Ethel & Ernest to be included in one of the pictures.
  13. I like the genre above all else. I'm forever mucking about with different pictures, some turn out good while others are so-so. But regardless of all that, as long as I'm enjoying myself then that's all that matters.
  14. Your picture depicts the Earth as seen from a distance similar to that of the moon. Apart from atmospherics there would be considerably more detail visible. That perhaps is why it doesn't sit well within the picture? I know it's not easy. . .I've tried similar things myself. One thing I have found useful on certain pictures (it doesn't always work) is to lower the opacity to about 90% - this helps it to sit within the picture and at the same time allows a fraction of the background colour to pass through it. Apart from that it's a fine picture.
  15. You have a unique and singular style of the like I have not seen before, in here, or anywhere else. It's also refreshing to see someone using designer as a art platform to realise their creative ideas. Personally, I like them all, and some of them do make me think of H R Giger.
  16. A time constrained exercise to produce something. . .anything!
  17. Another update so quick after the last one. You guys rock.
  18. I'm not that bothered about total visual accuracy, but rather the overall effect of all composited components which create the picture. I think you did an admirable job.
  19. Sounds fair to me. It also shows that you put some thought into it.
