Windows users are not like Apple users, they need to see under the hood and the "WindowsApps" folder is not accessible even as an admin.
Get off your high horse. Most of the time on macOS apps are installed by drag and dropping a .app bundle that we copy wherever we want. macOS is not iOS or iPadOS.

You're aware that you can make the UI font larger in the preferences, right? (All the acompanying bugs notwithstanding for now.)
Large Font UI Size replace the words with abbreviations. That's not good, imho.

Hello, did you notice there's only one forum? Translation apps are free. Chrome will even do it automatically. Expand your world.
If everyone is going to write in his own language we can end-up with one different language for every post and it's becoming a mess.

I think actually they're following Apple's recent look here. Ventura generally replaces tabs with scrolling panes, and this looks a lot like the Print dialogue in the current version of Pages. I do agree the preview is Adobe-esque and unwanted.
Yes, Apple also think that Macs have vertical screens now...

The new UI has an overall Adobe 2006 CC feel to it, which is bad.
Yes! That's exactly why I felt nauseous the first seconds of using v2. The flat design, the lack of clear buttons and text field made me feel like using the Adobe suite that lacks a good visual UX that gives a warm feeling while using the app. Then I saw the Export panel and I wanted to barf...

The shortcuts and panels layout are not imported, apparently

This portion reads clearer, imo, from the Layers panel. They grab attention in an appropriate way. Though somehow the icons read taller. That might be bothersome for some.
Top toolbar is fine. The Persona icons are even fine, but they're not as easily recognizeable and might be subjective. I think just takes getting used to. They look more cohesive with each other though.
Main toolbar is the one that is less cohesive and has a lot going on. Most of the problems go away with monochromatic, but I prefer the color actually because there's more variance.
Contour & Corner Tool stand out like a sore thumb.
Those new icons, I agree it's better for most of them. But not the stoke panel ones, imho.

I made two screen recordings that shows pull down menu vs. the icon menu for exporting, and the bad choice of a scrolling interface.

Everything in the new UI is less defined and I think it's a step back from version 1. They haven't ruined it or anything it just looks less sharp and crisp.
Yes, that's one of the downside of flat design

On the plus side, the dreaded "More" button is gone. I always had to click More because I could not remember what was set in there. Maybe because the window was getting a bit wide on smaller screens? There are two new export options: Webp and Jpeg XL.
Yes, but now you have to scroll and resize the export window to see them all. Why not having those settings on the right of the other settings? Modern UI seems to be done for vertical screens... Like the new Systems Preferences in macOS Ventura. Everything is vertical and behind a scroll wall...

I have to agree, I'm not a fan. Personally, I also dislike the new icons' aesthetic (the tool icons especially feel very childish and cheap to me), but that's entirely subjective. However, I also find certain things looking a lot less clear.
I like the new icons because they are more vibrant and colorful. But they still are in the new flat design way that f* up the entire UI and I understand your point of view.
v1 made me think I was using a robust app :
Spoiler
While v2 make me feel I'm using a badly designed app with no Human Interface in mind. I don't know, that's the flat design that gives me the creeps...

Export window is not good, the old one was great to click only a dropdown menu a file type and export. The preview is also old scool, it renders a image, CPU is high but it is not needed. I wish i could disable this, i only want to export and no preview.
Exactly !
- The Drop down menu is annoying. Clicking an icon was faster!
- Everything looks like a badly done app wish a fishy framework and takes more screen space :
- v1 :
- v2:
- Scrolling and resizing the window to get to the other settings? That's a UI/UX design that comes from Web apps, Chrome... yuck yuck yuck.

It does import V1 palettes, I believe, but it sounds like you did not have V1 installed for it to import from.
I deleted v1 app before installing v2 to make room.

I managed to find a copy of v1 and I could export de palette. So All is good. Thanks all for the help
Those palettes are stored somewhere in the system somehow, and I will try to find it. That could be useful.
Too bad v2 didn't import everything by default...
-
When I chose the Import Content menu, I have an open panel to chose the content to import. But I don't know what I have to chose.
-
No I deleted and I wanted to redownload it from the App Store so I could export them. But Designer isn't there anymore.
But being to hasty, that's on me

-
Yes the new icons are great indeed! But I was talking about the interface elements. Like buttons, sliders, etc...
-
I had custom color palettes and there are now gone from the Swatches panel...
Anyone knows who to retrieve them?

I would gladly pay for a 2.0 instead of getting a v1.11 for free. Affinity Designer were quite cheap and I used it more or less daily. I still don't know how they managed to get enough revenue from v1.x alone now. But I won't like a subscription plan, of course, I would be furious

Warp - Junction's control handles cannot be snapped?

Yeah I was wondering the same thing. I really need a precise warping and I don't understand what they can't make them snap like the Bezier's handle.
