Converting curve to Artistic Text adds gradient to curve

Hello, When I convert a curve to Artistic Text, the curve's style changes to a gradient. The curve style cannot be changed. This does NOT happen with newly created documents. I have attached a file where the bug occurs. artistic text bug.afdesign
