  1. Welcome to the Matrix... :) I think the actual duplicate power tool it's fabulous, but with some improvements would be even greater. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/2285-power-duplicate/
  2. Why not scanning it as usual and dropping it on the icon of the dock? :)
  3. History panel it's the best thing on those cases :) at least for me... or the traditional Ctrl + Z
  4. It would be a good thing to have, ... when the program it's more developed as MEB says.... let's go first to get a solid basement :) where it can be later built those 3D features and many others.
  5. Infinite canvas (as default starting canvas) it's a lovely thing to have , for those times you want to open AD draw quick an idea! :)
  6. I have being using a bit the app Sketch and there are a few little more things I would find interesting AD to have or to think about implementing anyhow. A separate zoom in / zoom out button (always accessible)... or behaviour... so can be zoomed in and out without contextual menu. Folders... on the layer's panel...(with their own recognizable icon) which are no more mistaken with simple layers. Grid personalization and settings. Ruler's options... And ... why not... presets.... I mean... being able to set the default forder where the proyects are open, and where the proyects are saved... as well as ... the default folder where the (possible) templates are contain... :) ...all this can save tons of time! :) and make the AD user experience much pleasant because this way we (the users) can focus on the real important, our projects. :P
  7. In photoshop I use to duplicate layers with context menu, but AD hasn't on the layer's panel (yet) this function.
  8. I hope the personalization of shorcuts that it's been prepared would be so.
  9. Welcome Jgray to the community :) I love AD because of being so light and fast.... adobe it's more developed but it's huge ... powerful but... a big and slow animal.
  10. The less we look and use the keyboard... the best.. for timesaving :)
  11. One thing... wouldn't better to use the traditional CMD + D to duplicate any element? CMD + J must be used (at least for me) with the two hands so I must stop using meanwhile the mouse... And a context menu into the layer's panel would be great... with that function too in order to duplicate any layer. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/1255-copy-properties-from/&p=4947
  12. People use to get offended for what they would (deep inside) love to do... :P anyway it's good to have this preventions :)
  13. Zoom to extent / zoom to fit ...and this feature would be great thing for timesaving.
  14. Amazing imagination and skills ....
  15. I do prefer (a priori) having my own collections but could be an additional option.
  16. Commented here :) https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/1223-rotating-objects/ Would be great :)
  17. I always admire the skill of designers to make effects of brilliant surfaces with 2D tools :D
  18. Well , the layers were on a single group so i could manage them easily ... but i would like AD to be able to "jump" (on the layer's panel) into the element that it's selected, for not having to search for it into hundreds of polygons....
  19. Yes, a kind of that, watch the following video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byM0D6SjyxQ ... marquee backwards maybe it's strange at the beggining but it's all a question of time and use to become a natural way of selecting. and here another ways of selecting in Autocad, just to make you think about the possiblities :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=byM0D6SjyxQ Thanks for considering it. :)
  20. I had some problems recently with this issue... this space got tiny for sometime... i don't know why. Would be great to have it a bit bigger... or customizable in size as the anchors can be.
  21. Thanks for this great tutorial... simple tools but very useful to know. For selecting objects on the window without having to totally put them into the selection window I personally prefer the Autocad's behaviour. (Not been in need of using the Ctrl key as the tutorial shows) It's so... when you create that "window" starting from the top to the bottom side, the program selects all the object that are totally inside the window. When you create the "window" from the bottom side to the top, the program selects all the objects that the window it's "touching" as well as the totally included on it. Of course, these behaviours could be combined with the ALT key to avoid selecting the background (I love it!) Here's explained: http://www.cadtutor.net/tutorials/autocad/object-selection.php Now i've found where i posted this for the first time. https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/1305-selecting-shapespaths-at-higher-zoom-levels/?p=5162
