HEY Hows everyone doing on here.....
I wanted to share some of my work but figured since its my first post I'd share a little about myself as well.
Im new to the whole Affinity program but Ive been a Hi-End retoucher for over the past 9 years. Currently Im a retouching manager in New York specializing in beauty and Product retouching. At work we're using the Top of the Line MAC's fully spec'd out with the "industry standard" photoshop ....... BUT I've been looking for something equally as capable as photoshop but mobile!

AND HERE's where AFFINITY comes in...
This thing is amazing! Every time I use it I find myself going back to work the next day with another "Guess what else affinity Does" story. lol. Im shocked It can handle the files it does and I'm sure its only going to get better from here.

Ive been quietly looking around on this forum and all ready see SO many talented people. So I hope to bring some of my perspective from someone who uses photoshop all day at work. But then AFFINIY for my personal on the go projects.

Some info on the file -
Theres over 60 layers of just umbrellas and shadows! (ZERO Slow down in app).
The file closed is about 400mb but opened its 1.18gb.
This was shot with my Dji Mavic Pro.
Completely edited start to finish in AFFINITY Photo for Ipad Pro

Simply an oil portrait, without much editing. Photographed from the canvas, some contrast settings made with Affinity Photo, that's all.
    Looking forward to feedbacks TNX

You could 'Place' an image into the stack of existing filters and save to new file, but I don’t think you can load/save layers as such. If you are going to have to readjust it why not simply add the filter to the photo as normal?

TheWindowSeatistaken reacted to Hokusai in Daruma
Just thought I would share a vector illustration that I recently did in Affinity Designer for some nengajo (Japanese New Years cards) that I was working on. For those not familiar with the Daruma (doll), they are normally sold at temples (and some stores carry them) and people buy them when they have a goal that they want to strive for. When you buy the Daruma, it has two blank eyes and you draw one eye in when you start trying to achieve your goal and then you draw the second eye in once you have achieved your goal. I remember reading that the Russian Matryoshka dolls were inspired by the Daruma doll but I don't know if this is true or not?

Lowering the radius of the outer shadow would help.

I was playing around in Blender and made a 3D glass Affinity logo, decided to do something with it. the background image is from here. Thoughts and opinions welcome.

Here is another simple wallpaper I knocked together. Original image by ESA/Hubble.

The main problem for me is not the scale of the background but the fact that the jacket looks as though it’s floating over it instead of lying on it. I think the third example actually suffers from this effect more than the earlier two; perhaps reducing the shadows would help.

    Hey folks,

Been a wee while but I'm back at creating creatures with Affinity Designer (and paper & pencil). Instead of adding a new topic for every one I make, I thought I'd start this new thread to put them all in and show them off to you all.

So here's one for ya! :)
