  1. As I understand it, Luminar 3 is a competitor to Lightroom which is a DAM, Digital Asset Manager. The features you request seem also to line up with Lightroom. Affinity Photo is not a DAM and not a competitor to Lightroom. Affinity Photo is a competitor to Photoshop which is not a DAM either which is an entirely different type of tool to Lightroom. It is rumoured that Serif might do a DAM package in the future.
  2. No not .afasset but you can import .afassets file format. Note the ‘s’ on the end which denotes a collection of assets rather than a singular asset file.
  3. OK, think I have it now, some of your `'line`s`' are actually closed shapes. As a test add a node mid point of a line that you cannot join to another. Then drag the node to one side. A true line will become a curve. A badly formed line will become a shape. 29F7F84B-7827-4C4F-8B60-BEAA261D627F.MP4
  4. No you are in the correct forum but the answer was for the desktop version. Affinity Photo is not a DAM (digital asset manager) like Lightroom is for performing batch jobs, Affinity Photo is more like Photoshop for handling a few photos at a time. I would never recommend loading many photos at once into the Affinity Photo for iPad sandbox, it’s not really designed to be used that way.
  5. Your sequence looks wrong, first start scaling with pencil or finger then place a finger down to constrain.
  6. Save file to iCloud or Dropbox or On my iPad then open from other package. Or drag and drop as in my screen recording. 289E2AAF-188A-489C-BAF3-C3DB57B60150.MP4 2AE734A1-3C5F-4AA5-9FCC-796E200AD4C9.MP4
  7. I think your objects were misaligned, I can replicate your result and also correct it using the transform-alignment tools. 8AE38426-BFB4-48CE-B2BE-3DF6DDACAE60.MP4
  8. F6F69CB9-DE54-4913-B3EF-BF42283ED239.MP4 This is my example can you upload yours? test1.afdesign
  9. Are you sure the circles were lined up, it looks like there might have been a vertical displacement which isn’t visible until you get to 90 degrees?
  10. Example of calculator use with power duplicate. 4FB974DF-075E-468A-8A16-1C63D868449E.MP4
  11. Are yes, if only software could read our minds, it’s not so easy for Serif to second guess what we are trying to achieve. On a serious note as mentioned on another thread the numerical pop ups do include calculator functions so you can specify dimension or positional changes as relative using + and - or scaled proportionately using x and / to keep the calculations in the app as much as possible.
  12. Certainly a bit of mathematics will help in creating a precision drawing and you can certainly move and scale in different planes, this is the Serif tutorial. https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/tutorials/designer/ipad/video/272729523/ Horizontal distance = Line Length x cos(angle of incline) Vertical distance = Line Length x sin(angle of incline)
  13. As Alfred pointed out, don’t forget the possibilities presented by Power Duplicate and the transform studio for precision work as well. 0C12172A-7CF4-42D4-BB9F-87F645C5805F.MP4
  14. All excellent work Josie, don’t think you will have many problems doing similar in Affinity Photo and/or Designer.
  15. This is the tutorial to watch, you will have to slow it down a little, took me a while to find it. https://affinityspotlight.com/article/from-great-families-come-great-pets/
  16. On closer inspection of your design, there isn’t much of it that is still vector, in particular the mask at the very bottom of the layer stack seems to contain the bulk of your design and it is a bitmap, perhaps you accidentally rasterised your vector design at an earlier step.?
  17. Not sure what you mean, if it’s re-colouring an existing photo there are many tutorials on Facebook or do you mean how to do this.
  18. I don’t quite understand your request, I have snapping active normally but using the transform studio overrules that naturally as you don’t want the length of the line to change by an end point snapping to something. However you can move the line and an end will snap to any available candidates. 2D2110FD-A4AF-4FB2-B933-42802D37E52D.MP4
  19. You mention slices, so I guess you are using the export persona. If you don’t need to slice your project you might find it easier to use the export option from the documents menu as DM1 has shown above.
  20. Only way I know is to use the transform studio. A129F3ED-089A-4445-AE2C-D53AD153C5CE.MP4
  21. Unfortunately not, just with experiences from these forums and the facebook support groups. https://www.facebook.com/groups/affinityforipad/?ref=share Edit: https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/tutorials/designer/ipad/video/272733789
