  1. Is this a new feature in V1.7, or has it always been possible on the iPad. Just watched James video https://youtu.be/yCEW6M0oElY and I was utterly surprised to see that the embedding of an afphoto document and double tap to open worked on the iPad version as well. Feeling slightly embarrassed if this has been available for ages and I didn’t know?
  2. Bump, eventually found some Wi-fi to download, keyboard shortcuts still not available in 1.7.0.9.
  3. Looking at the marching ants selection box for the Heron, I would say you have over refined your selection covering too much of the wings and body which has made them transparent. Try doing the bird selection again but next time when you refine the edges use a smaller brush size zoomed in on the edges so that you don’t make the body transparent.
  4. It is great that the keyboard shortcuts have been added to AP for those of us who use a keyboard with the iPad, but it would be nice if these could be added to AD as well for consistency but especially for cmd+j power duplicate functionality. Maybe even more important going forward with rumours of mouse support coming to IOS13.
  5. It is great that you can enter exact rotation values with the new external rotation point, just a pity that power duplicate does not work for this option. 9A467CF8-691F-4622-B133-C31922443A87.MP4
  6. Think I’ve seen this too, closing then reopening the design fixes it. The object and its bounding box get disassociated?
  7. In my day job, we have had one of those 2 hour meetings to thrash out how a device feature should work as well, three months later we’re like, how was that supposed to work again
  8. Totally agree with Dave, I bought a second hand MacBook just to try Affinity on a larger screen, but still use my iPad version for everything and MacBook just contains my backups now.
  9. The new update is still set up to overwrite the live Designer version rather than the Designer Beta
  10. Thanks Alfred, it’s really difficult to explain to a newbie how to get out of that blind alley too and why it happens.
  11. Not only RC2 but the hyperlink to the free macro pack in the help leads users along a blind alley where no download occurs after pressing download. Better that the hyperlink opened in safari externally rather than in app browser.
  12. Shutterstock is explicitly mentioned in the help file but is no longer available in V1.7 on iPad or desktop versions.
  13. Hi Andy, the keyboard shortcuts are great, but any chance of adding shift selection support for layers in the layer studio, you tap first, press shift select last?
  14. Alternatively you can duplicate your selection into a new layer, deselect the marching ants and apply adjustments to just the new layer, making sure it’s above the original layer of course or nested within the new layer. You can also convert that layer back into a matching ants selection using my muds macros, search this site. In V1.7 the convert layer to selection macro is no longer required as it is now available as a selection command.
  15. It is non intuitive but an IOS issue. Do not browse into the folder you want to export your slices to. Browse to below the folder, press select then choose folder then press open.
  16. Too late Zebedee again. Ha every thing seems fine apart from one test drawing that won’t open in the App Store V1.6 version. No worries a little bit of excitement keeps us interested
  17. That photo is from 2017 at my 40 year award ceremony at Lumley Castle in County Durham. @Alfred Mythos Greek beer is great in the hot weather too !
  18. Not in too bad a shape from the neck up, neck down, Real Ale has taken it’s toll . Happy yes, off on my holidays to the Greek island of Kos tomorrow.
