  1. Pretty sure an official Serif video demonstrates this, think it was a James Ritson video. I can see in my minds eye a Serif video with either IOS 11 or IOS 12 on the thumbnail, being the most likely video to demonstrate this. Think it has been removed can’t find it on Vimeo or Youtube or here.
  2. Hi Dave, yes I’m on iPadOS 13 but no this is an Affinity thing that’s been available since Designer came out. I perhaps overstated the wiggle bit, it’s the standard IOS multi-select thingy. IMG_2715.MP4
  3. You can drag a document from the home screen of photo to designer and vice versa without going via the save route. As with IOS icons, press and hold on the AP home screen until it wiggles, then with a space finger swipe up from the bottom of the screen to open AD then drop document onto AD home page.
  4. Not sure why you need to put the pencil down, I just swivel the pencil with my thumb to grasp it and use my index finger to select the source. Granted I would like to simply use pencil for selecting the source again.
  5. This is a no brainier, I only have original 9.7” iPad Pro plus mark 1 Apple Pencil. The pencil works great with Affinity, definitely get it if you can afford it.
  6. I was able to open the file and get to the embedded document by double tapping it. Then I used save as on the art board sub document to create this new version. new poster babykamer 3.afdesign
  7. Comes with age and working in R&D for years and years means I’m used to interpreting unclear requirements
  8. I’m playing with iPadOS 13 now, and unfortunately don’t see any improvement in the “Open In” department in the initial customer beta. Since other apps can do this it’s hard to understand why Affinity can’t implement it to work from the share sheet.
  9. If you have used the import method on the Affinity Home screen look to the small hamburger icon, press rename and choose the name you want. Alternatively you can use the IOS12 drag and drop method to open your photo in Affinity, when you do that the name is automatically applied on the affinity home screen.
  10. Do you have a link to the video I can’t find it to understand what your problem is?
  11. Use Document --> Pages which will show the pages context toolbar at bottom of screen.
  12. You can do this on the iPad by firstly selecting nodes using the node tool then using the transform tool, set either the dimensions-vertical to zero or dimensions-horizontal to zero.
  13. No problems with my Apple Pencil, have you tried forgetting it and the pair it again?
  14. The one finger gesture still works for me, also the 2 finger gesture was in previous versions as well.
  15. Yes I think all apps are using a IOS12 library function that has not been updated yet to show the external drives. All apps will have to be updated to use the IOS13 library functions before they can start interacting with the external drives correctly. Yes found app updates strange but getting used to it now, also the photos album has been completely revised, I am sure it will be better but i haven’t got used to that yet !
  16. I guess this quite old Fujifilm Finepix S5000 raw file format is incompatible with Affinity, it certainly does not appear on the Apple compatibility list. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT208967 I was only able to load by going via LR on iPad and exporting it as a jpg to pull into AP. 17. Some flash drives work some don’t that need a high current supply. Works great with an external verbatim media share device, created folders and copied files, photo and movie file direct over lightening to USB adapter. Also tried same on iphone 6 and iphone 7 worked perfectly. AP and AD seem to work fine, although have seen a few funnies in email and a few apps like the TSB banking app don’t work.
  18. As Dave said above, files in the sandbox and files in the files app are 2 different files unless you follow DM1’s instructions to change the name, save to to files, close it which removes it from sandbox then reopen it from the files area. Now the file in the sandbox will overwrite the copy in the files app when you press save.
  19. Has anybody been brave enough to try the public beta released today with Affinity iPad apps? Tempted .
  20. Can you post your afphoto file to the forum for the Dev’s/Others to take a look at what might be going wrong?
  21. Patrick already mentioned, you need to download the latest published versions, the latest beta’s do not have this functionality.
  22. Not sure if this will help but you can only import RAW into Affinity Photo by using Open or Import option. Instead try using IOS drag and drop from photos into Affinity home screen, that will not import the raw photo but instead should import a jpg version. Only concern it might not be the jpg version you want.
