  1. Looks like the first beta expires in a day or so on TestFlight, thought there might have been an update by now, so just a reminder to everyone to save off your work in case you lose it.
  2. You are using Affinity Photo, Text On Curve officially only works on Affinity Designer. However the functionality has now been added to the V1.9 Beta of Affinity Photo on iPad. Unofficially you can use TextOnCurve macro in Affinity Photo V1.8, search these groups for my Mud’s Macros.afmacros, install it and you will find the macro to give you that functionality. Since you are using AP you also have the advantage to use the mesh warp filter as an alternative.
  3. The iPad is a fast but resource limited device, I personally would advise against loading in assets, fonts or any other add on features until you need them and remove afterward. Assets especially are very very large and once loaded into the App iPadOS cannot optimise that space and your iPad will fill faster than expected. As you have found, learning to keep those assets organised in an optimised location like Cloud folder so that they are always available when you need them will keep your apps fast and responsive and also free up space on your device.
  4. I’m allowed too, I’m alive, don’t have the virus and, today is my 62nd Birthday 😀🍺 EDIT: Here you go, example screen recording of what you need. IMG_9872.MP4
  5. Sounds like you have been using masking to add a texture when you actually want to use fill to add the texture to multiple items perhaps? https://affinity.help/photo/English.lproj/pages/Tools/tools_floodFill.html
  6. Hi Dave, Not really sure how this is supposed to work, but once you have created your Global colours when you go to edit them, long press on colour, the picker then appears. Maybe the logic is start with approx colours specify as global, then in the final edit change the global colour to something more accurate using picker etc What I wasn’t expecting was this to only work in vector mode, was looking forward to this working in pixel mode here and in photo. (The implementation seems to be a vector solution, probably adding parameters to each vector path whereas what would be really nice is a parameter to add to the colour constant to change it to a lookup variable into the global colours. I guess the danger is it would be like a coding hack and likely slow everything down so I feel their pain.)
  7. You don’t mention any grid, I just tried setting up with your dimensions on an isometric grid with 1mm spacing and snapping to grid enabled and don’t see such a problem. Perhaps if you upload your .afdesign file here someone could take a look. boxes.afdesign
  8. About 10 minutes before I posted when I received the Affinity email about the beta. Mattp post is above.
  9. Add a guide, make it visible then hide it. Return to Home Screen. Return to document guide is visible again. This is with single guides or column guides. So every time you open document guides are visible. (The opposite happens with grids which are always turned off after returning to the Home Screen. I believe guides and grids should remember the last set action view or hide.
  10. Not really sure if I understand what you mean by folders box but if you mean the Affinity Home Screen it is not intended to be used like that. Affinity Photo is a replacement for Photoshop, it is not a replacement for Lightroom which is a Digital Asset Manager (DAM). It is intended that you only load a single photo at a time either from Apple Photos or a cloud folder and then work on that image, use the options ‘Import from Photos’ or ‘Import from Cloud’
  11. Another excellent artwork by Michael, he is truly an exceptional talent@JohnAffinityPR
  12. Can you show your layers studio or upload your .afphoto file here for others to look at.
  13. @Ridz @Joschi Try closing all apps then perform a Forced Restart of your iPad. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/ipad/ipad63d30b5a/ios
  14. Just checked on Mac versions and although there is no crash with this live layer it clearly has not been implemented yet in Designer or Publisher. A live perspective layer works as expected in any package but live liquify does not so guess this feature is being tested on Photo first and then will be rolled out to Designer and Publisher when they receive the updated library files.
  15. If you add a Live Liquify Layer in photo then move over to Designer with Edit In Designer, then double click the Live Filter Layer in designer, Designer crashes without any notification on Windows 10. Photo 1.9.0.864 + Designer 1.9.0.864 Live_Liquify_Crasher.afphoto
  16. Unfortunately only in Designer on iPad do you have the stroke studio IMG_9596.MP4
  17. You haven't missed out, many of us seasoned vets paid full price quite a few years back and would pay it again at the drop of a hat, it is well worth the price !
  18. Oh crap, now I have a notification mail that it has been dispatched, to the wrong address grrrrrr @Adam
  19. I did exactly the same thing today with the Publisher Workbook pre-order. I can’t recall it asking a delivery address and previous deliveries had gone to my mother who unfortunately has had to move into a care home. I emailed affinityorders@serif.com with my updated address details. Hope that does the trick. @Adam
  20. HDR Merge will align the images, if you are on V1.8 don’t forget you will need to do a Tone Map after the merge. I say this because the V1.9 beta automates that step but V1.8 does not.
