  1. Hard to tell, with an M1 Mac, everything is very fast ! And it won't work I don't think on my 2016 Macbook. EDIT: Surprisingly enough it does work on my Macbook 2016 but it is slower than M1 of course and slower than opening them in one go. I can't recall if Big Sur also has the shortcuts app, if so I guess it should work there as well. macbook.mov
  2. I did not see this thread until after I posted in the resource area, a solution should be possible with a windows batch file to open a list in alphabetical order. I will put my ancient windows hat on and try and create one when I blow the dust off my windows 10 relic.
  3. On my Facebook group, someone asked if they could open a set of camera images in the order they were taken so that they could work on the image tabs left to right. If you simply open a set of files at the same time they will normally be opened in a random order (ok not random, probably to do with how long each takes to open). I therefore created this Shortcut which performs that function. I am using macOS Monetary and M1 Mac mini new feature which is the IOS Shortcuts app. I am sure this could be implemented on older macOS using scripts and on Windows 10 using a batch file. I multi-select a bunch of images then pass that using the Quick Actions menu to the shortcut, which sorts the list in alphabetical order then opens them one at a time in order. 4. @p_mac Yes when using the popup menu the correct context toolbar is not refreshed (it shows blank the first time you use it which is a clue), It is like this in the older versions as well so not a new bug but definitely a bug.
  5. Simply tap the orientation button multiple times to reposition the golden spiral as desired.
  6. If you press and hold CTRL/CMD whilst Affinity starts up your will see a reset menu including the options Reset Assets.
  7. The email address would not make any difference. If both devices are in same house you should be able to use Airdrop to transfer between them. Not as convenient as using same iCloud account on both but workable.
  8. Whenever an iPad misbehaves, the first thing to try is closing all open apps then performing a Forced Restart as described halfway down this article. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/ipad/ipad63d30b5a/ios
  9. Make sure you are using the same or newer version on the iPad to the desktop e.g. Both V1.9.2
  10. Anything you draw with the pen tool is already a vector object. Look in the layers studio and you will see the object. To duplicate select it in the layers panel and then select Edit-Duplicate. Perhaps if you shared a screen shot including your layers panel we might be able to help further.
  11. I was just checking that others apps could also see the filename when done this way.
  12. This can be achieved using a simple one statement IOS Shortcut. IMG_0950.MP4
  13. When you “import” it removes the filename, if you “open” the file name is kept. Unfortunately you cannot “open” from apple photos, only import. However there is a method using Apple shortcuts, here I use an Open In Photo shortcut to open from the Apple photos share sheet which as you will see maintains the filename. The shortcut is very easy to make yourself. IMG_0944.MP4
  14. I know Alfred, but I only use the Apple Pencil and a Logi keyboard case and don’t like touching screen with my fingers 😀
  15. I reported this before, it’s the row and column guides not the basic guides. IMG_0930.MP4
  16. Go to Selection persona and tap Deselect. You likely have a hidden selection active even if you can’t see the marching ants.
  17. When you use cloud services, the file is often not on your device other than maybe a low resolution thumbnail and will therefore need to fully download first, so is dependent upon you internet connection speed.
  18. Assuming you’re iPad hasn’t ran out of space, please try closing all open apps and doing a Forced Restart from this article. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/ipad/ipad63d30b5a/ios
  19. Then why are you using the selection tool?? Simply use the crop tool if you want to crop the photo.
  20. Try exporting as PDF which supports vector graphics and pretty sure AI can import PDF files.
  21. Ok so poor resolution is because you are not using the raw, only a lower resolution jpeg. Hopefully at some point you can get access to the raw. Here is a quick demo of using the Crop tool to give you your iPhone aspect ratio which is about 2.007:1 IMG_0922.MP4
  22. How did you import your images to your iPad Photos album, I think this is where things are going wrong. If you use a WiFi connection then it is common for raw files to be replaced by smaller size JPEG’s for transfer so best not to use a WiFi method. Did you try transferring from your drone camera to your iPad using an Apple SD card reader or a Apple USB adapter? Also as mentioned above, do not use export controls to choose size, use the crop tool to select an area of the image that matches your iPhone screen size.
  23. The reason I asked you to screen record or describe your workflow is that you can import the raw image from a raw+jpg image on IOS but it depends on how you import it, there are many wrong ways to do it. Not sure what role "photo Investigator" is playing in your problems, I had never heard of it before and cannot think why anyone would need to use it. You look to trying to export in the iPhone dimensions, what you should do is resize one edge to the minimum dimensions then crop the photo to the correct size before you export it. When you enter both dimensions on export the image gets squashed which won't help the resolution. If possible, you could attach a set of your original raw+jpg files in these forums and we can take a look at them to see if we can figure out what is going wrong.
