Hi Dave, the Show Touches option is missing from both Designer and Photo. Both apps would not start after the update so had to delete and re-install everything on both apps again (sigh). Will try again when I return home for better WiFi, having a short holiday in London last few days, driving home today.

As before I think it would be helpful to place your benchmark results in the same common thread to allow cross platform comparisions

Serif RAW Engine cannot open RAW from Sony A6400
Paul Mudditt replied to AiDon's topic in V1 Bugs found on iPads
Seems to be a common problem with this release, me to Canon CR2 do the same with Serif Engine but ok with Apple Raw engine. -
Try changing your RAW engine under the Assistant options. I have the same problem with Serif Raw but it works ok with Apple Raw engine.

Hi Dave, I have always had some issues with the Serif Labs raw engine, it can handle my NEF Nikon raw but struggles with my Canon CR2 raw, mostly brings in a transparent image but it did once do exactly as your example did. Apple raw seems fine, at least from Files folder. I have lost access to my RAW image album in photos with this update.:- My biggest problem now is I cannot access my Apple Photo albums :-(. Only recents are available now of my 55000+ library. EDIT: (Solved - latest iPadOS 15 beta does not have this problem)

I upgraded this morning to V1.10 but cannot start Photo now. Tried all the usual tricks of closing all apps and doing a Forced Restart. Have not tried a re-install yet. Note I am using iPadOS 15 beta which is likely the problem, however no such problem exists on the V1.10 Beta version which works ok apart from a slow start up. iPad Pro 9.7”. EDIT: Deleted the app and reinstalled, seems to be working now for anyone else who has a similar problem.

Crop Presets on Ipad
Paul Mudditt replied to Violinman's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on iPad Questions
I think your best bet would be to create rectangle shapes with the crop format you want and add them to an asset library. Then when you need the crop bring the shape from your asset library, scale and position where you want the crop then use it as a clipping mask on your image then use canvas -> clip to canvas. -
Problem with refund

Delete the app and everything will be sorted out. -
File problems

You can attach your design to your post. Just save your file outside of the app then use the choose files option. -
Export result look differently than the affinity photo
Paul Mudditt replied to yvanoid's topic in V1 Bugs found on iPads
I am confused maybe someone else may know much more about this than me., When I select convert document it appears to show the existing format as being RGB/16 with an Adobe RGB (1998) profile. Whether this what you expected I am not sure. -
Export result look differently than the affinity photo
Paul Mudditt replied to yvanoid's topic in V1 Bugs found on iPads
Yes I saw same effect on your example on my iPad, but following this video, James explains that a conversion to sRGB profile would help and once I did that it did seem to make the JPG more true to what you see in Affinity. -
The only thing that is still there for me is the persistent guides. Once activated on any of the guides pages options, if you toggle show guides off and return to the Home Screen, on reopening, all guides are visible again. The show guides option state is not saved in the document so once set, guides can never be permanently made invisible which means they are a pain to use.

Export result look differently than the affinity photo
Paul Mudditt replied to yvanoid's topic in V1 Bugs found on iPads
If you could save the .afphoto file and upload it here I’m sure it will help to understand what is happening. Looks like a colour space issues. -
If I want sharp edges on objects I use the pen tool in smart mode and simply dab dab dab around the outline to create a closed curve. Use the node tool to adjust any nodes as required then convert the curve into a selection. This is especially useful on inanimate objects where straight lines occur. Once you have done it a few times it can be quicker than using the selection tools.

Did you enable the PSD settings under preferences.

How can I get my ID and Password
Paul Mudditt replied to Silv's topic in Customer Service, Accounts and Purchasing
If you have purchased from the Windows Store or the Apple Store that is the only place you can download in the future as Serif have no access to Microsoft or Apple accounts information. If you had bought direct from Serif Store you could have downloaded at any time from the Serif store using a product key that Serif would issue to you. -
problem of several functions on ipad air 4
Paul Mudditt replied to Joamuz's topic in V1 Bugs found on iPads
Worry not, all the functions work. Make sure you invest the time to watch as many of the official Serif tutorials otherwise you will get very frustrated. You need to learn about the layer studio and the the different types of layers. In general those tools will only work on a pixel layer and not an image layer. So make sure you rasterise your image layer first, it should say pixel in the layers studio. -
If you are low on space I recommend subscribing to iCloud, it is great way of saving space on your devices as files are backed up automatically to iCloud leaving only links or optimised images on your device. My 128GB iPad has 50GB free yet I have 400GB of affinity and other files and photos in iCloud that I can access at any time.
