  1. Struggling to follow what you want but did you try changing the angle or azimuth of your effect.
  2. Automatic saving into the internal sandbox depends on this setting, the default is 300 seconds,I set mine to 30 seconds. However there is still opportunities to lose you work so you should also manually rename your work and save your work outside of the Affinity sandbox occasionally.
  3. Blame how iPadOS memory management works. Affinity, unlike 99% of other Apps uses lots of RAM to store edit history etc, earlier iPad Pro’s had very little RAM so when you tasks switch iPadOS forces RAM to be freed up for the next application if there isn’t sufficient RAM free. This results in Affinity having no control of the situation and your current unsaved project steps are lost or worse your project is corrupted. I just upgraded from first generation iPad Pro 9.7” (2GB RAM) where lost data used to happen a lot to M1 iPad Pro 11” 8GB RAM where it never seems to occur.
  4. Still works for me. See video. However I would recommend not using this functionally as it encourages storing projects within the App when it is much preferable to always save your work into an iCloud folder instead once your work is completed. IMG_0303.MOV
  5. There is no way to build up an .afassets file other than one asset at a time. You should export to an .afassets file as a backup or for use on another platform. I build my .afassets files and store them in an Affinity Resources folder in iCloud so that I can import them all in a single step to my PC and Mac version of Affinity. Only by creating .afassets files can you import multiple assets at once. An example of an .afassets file is attached. This is a replacement for the missing shape presets on the iPad version that I created one at a time. Shape Presets.afassets
  6. Everyone on the beta program has been on the released version for months as it is newer than the previous beta. When a new beta arrives we will all get it, at the moment there isn't one.
  7. Look in the transform studio, select an object with the move tool and it’s position on the page will be shown in whatever units your document is set too.
  8. The only way I can repeat that is by holding the shift key down on my magic keyboard which puts Affinity into line drawing mode. Do you have an external keyboard attached? If not have you tried closing all open apps then doing a Forced Restart of your iPad.
  9. Close all open apps then restart your iPad or do a Forced Restart of your iPad.
  10. Are you using a PC, since on a Mac or iPad the Finder and Files apps provide the usual thumbnails for .afphoto files to browse through them. You should probably ask this question in the appropriate support forum https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/50-affinity-support-questions/
  11. Yes, you're right Alfred, I was thinking it was similar to moving across the colour wheel where you can get to white from any colour. I blame the unknown quantity as Walt mentioned "percentage of a global color", I have no idea what that is either.
  12. Still think the Lab Slider performs the same function as the T except reversed, darkest to lightest where the T is Lightest to Darkest.
  13. On the text, turn off the outline effects, instead change the stroke colour to black and align stroke to outside which is same as how your effects outline were set up. Little K New Logo Final 010522 00.pdf Little K New Logo Final 010522 00.afdesign
  14. Unless you mean opacity of a layer have you tried using the Lab Sliders rather than the colour wheel perhaps.
  15. You can only import an .afassets file. To create your own .afasset file you need to import each image by using Place Image into the curent document then adding each one to your assets library. https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/tutorials/designer/ipad/video/273288063/
  16. Works okay on my Mac when I turn off hardware acceleration but the effect is very subtle. Your screen record method would not work as your pixel image layer is locked, did you try again after turning off acceleration and unlocked the layer.
  17. Do you mean the .afphoto file that you saved or the image file (jpg, tif etc) you exported? You cannot save an image file only export one. You cannot open an image file edit it and save it back on itself on the iPad like you can do on the desktop, you need to export the edited image so in Dropbox you will have the original and the modified exported image.
  18. Under preferences, change the default save location to be iCloud. It is very unfortunate that iPadOS deletes the OnMyiPad folder associated with any App when it is uninstalled, however it leaves the iCloud folder equivalent alone so it is preferential to always use save in iCloud instead.
  19. Yes it does, use just like pencil or finger, select text layer, choose text tool, then click and drag over text with mouse button pressed start to finish.
  20. Hmmm, mine seems to do the same in Photo but not in Designer. I think this maybe a bug for the Devs to look at when they return to work. None of these documents are on my AP home screen now. .
  21. You could try going into the Onedrive app and ensuring the files you want to access in Affinity are downloaded first. The best way is to use iCloud rather than any of the other cloud services which have been a lot more hit and miss on the iPad over the years.
  22. Joining this discussion late but it does seem like you should be using Affinity Designer not Affinity Photo which is akin to Photoshop. If you don’t want to do vector drawing perhaps a sketch app like Procreate may be what you require.
