  1. If you are just doing general colour grading etc you can do bulk edits directly in Apple Photos, you can edit your first image using the built in iPad editor and copy and paste those changes to multiple images in one step. And yes you can import raw images into Apple Photos and edit them in situ. You can also revert back to your original raw image at any time if you are not happy with such basic edits. You can then edit in Affinity Photo any images which need more elaborate image processing. RPReplay_Final1709889200.mp4
  2. Sorry, I only recently bought Procreate to test out the problems people were having transferring to Affinity. As far as I can see Procreate is not a vector editor so just painting on layers and then I am able to copy and paste any painted layers in procreate to Affinity no problem. If Procreate does have vectors the feature must be very buried, seems complicated compared to Affinity. EDIT: Found text in Procreate and that copied and pasted fine.
  3. Hi David, welcome to the forums Always best if you state make and model of your camera to check for raw support and also upload as files a couple of examples for others and the devs to test with if possible.
  4. I just tried it and it worked for me, I pressed on the layer in procreate, selected copy then switched to Affinity and pressed the screen and selected paste. When an iPad misbehaves, best to close all open apps, then do a Forced Restart to see if that fixes the problem. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/ipad/ipad9955c007/ipados
  5. The issue exists on iPad as well but I can fix the problem by changing the node alignment setting as shown. The one shape that doesn’t show the issue does not have the internal sharp point of inflection. It can also be fixed by reducing the number of close together unnecessary nodes at that internal point of inflection. RPReplay_Final1709333722.mp4 RPReplay_Final1709334231.mp4
  6. @Dan C thanks Dan, old habits die hard, I keep forgetting that there might be a context toolbar method on the iPad now.
  7. The select key object on desktop affects the spacing of the objects, on iPad version it has no effect or I am I doing something wrong. Screen Recording 2024-02-29 at 06.57.45.mov RPReplay_Final1709189845.mov
  8. The desktop versions cost more than the iPad version and so some features are missing. In particular the Astrophotography Stack Persona is missing from the iPad version.
  9. Use the transform -> alignment studio panel. Couple of quick examples:- RPReplay_Final1709023023.mov RPReplay_Final1709023544.mov
  10. Bake Appearance is just an on screen way of saying convert to curves., select same from the ... menu or after a long finger press on screen.
  11. As Alfred stated, you can “create” ePub on any Apple device for free that can be used on any .epub compatible system not just IOS. EDIT: Just did a quick test, from a notes file on my iPad into Pages exported to ePub then uploaded to my Kindle (using Send to Kindle on Amazon site) took about 10 minutes to achieve.
  12. If you have an Apple device you can use the built in free word processing app “Pages” to create ePub books very easily on a Mac, iPad or even an iPhone.
  13. Hi Alfred, I could not get my head around the converting to curves bit but understood what you meant about bitmap fill, was very surprised it just worked ! I feel you may have uncovered a “crossover” between pixel and vector work that was never intended but yet may have future uses, well done !
  14. This is what Alfred meant, I never knew about it and I’m still not sure if it is of much use but I guess it depends on your use case. My project (17).mp4
  15. Hi Rob, Change slider (1) if you don’t have any artboards to change the desktop grey level. (or if you are using Affinity Photo) Change slider (2) if you have used artboards to adjust the desktop behind the artboard’s grey level. BR Paul
  16. The Knife tool is for cutting vector shapes not pixel layers. Use the selection tool if you want to dissect a pixel layer. EDIT: Added demo of how to use the selection tools on pixel layers. RPReplay_Final1708606798.mov
  17. The key to shear with apple pencil is, first make sure shape is selected in layers panel, then you need to do a single tap near the edge you want to shear, then you can do the shear action. Quick demo RPReplay_Final1708583724.mov
  18. As Alfred states, easy to create presets for A2,A1, A0 paper sizes, to be honest V1 included such presets but to create the missing ones in V2 only takes a few minutes even on the iPad version of Affinity Publisher.
  19. I made the assumption that @ashr (as a newbie to the forums) actually wanted similar to info panel to be able to replicate a colour and that can be achieved all be it slightly more complicated as my video shows. The efforts involved calculating % yellow is interesting but not what the op really wanted to know in my personal opinion.
  20. As @stokerg mentions the iPad lacks the info panel but the workaround is to make sure you have nothing selected in the layers panel, then use the colour studio eye dropper to pick the colour and tap the selected colour to show its makeup. Quick demo. RPReplay_Final1708420122.mov
  21. As Alfred states, change to this setting on the assistant options and your adjustment will only affect your selected layer.
  22. See this article on how to make an IOS Shortcut called “Open in Affinity Photo” that can be used from the share sheet in Apple Photos or Lightroom etc that might help. One thing to be aware of is that iPadOS does not allow “round tripping” to Apple Photos as you can easily do in macOS. So you are restricted to editing a photo then sharing back to Photos the edited version as a new file, unlike macOS which allows you to save back to the original file you opened.
  23. That never happens for me. Whenever an iPad misbehaves, it is always worth trying first to close all open apps, then do a Forced Restart (not simply a restart) as per apple’s instructions. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/ipad/ipad9955c007/ipados
