You said you looked under Pixel persona, that would not show you how it looks as pixels, it still shows vectors as vectors in pixel persona. Only under Navigator can you see how it would appear as pixels or retina pixels. Your image is very small 768pixels x 768pixels. Look under the navigator to see how your image looks as pixels not vector view. I would at least double your document pixel dimensions to at least 1536x1536 or preferably 3072x3072 if you want your subtle gradient shading effects to be visible when you convert from a vector format to a pixel format.

That is worrying, sounds like your file system may have some corruptions, you do have plenty of iPad space still left? Assuming that is ok then I would ensure you are backed up to iCloud AND your desktop then try one or more of these:- 1. Closing ALL OPEN apps, wait a about a minute then doing a Forced Restart. You will not lose any settings or data. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/ipad/ipad9955c007/ipados 2. If that does not solve it, try Settings -> General -> Transfer or Reset iPad -> Reset -> Reset All Settings. You will lose Wifi passwords and have to re-enter any customisations you have done eg widgets etc. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/ipad/ipad9a74dc01/ipados 3. If that does not solve it then you will need to consider erasing your iPad and restore it from backup. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/ipad/ipad9a74c804/ipados

Google likes to track everything you think and everything you do so it can push advertising your way. It won't like that it can't open affinity files to inspect the contents unlike the more common data file formats hence greyed out. Because of this it is the worst cloud service, change to a proper cloud service like iCloud, Dropbox or Onedrive is the only advice I can give.

Designer iPad deselect in Pen mode

Double tap the last point. Although the screen recording. doesn’t show it, I end each line segment by a double tap rather than a single tap. RPReplay_Final1712912197.mp4- 3 replies

The Macro studio shows you the steps record in a macro. The Library studio is the list of all the macro categories and individual macros within each category. Screen Recording 2024-04-01 at 07.30.03.mov Screen Recording 2024-04-01 at 07.32.50.mov

I am the biggest fan of Affinity but to be honest, floor plans are a speciality subject and the last things to attempt using Affinity as there is no real support for dimension lines etc. I would recommend LiveHome3D on your iPad/Mac and Windows instead as you would get a 3d render of a room as well as being able record walkthrough videos, decorate and furnish etc. Screen Recording 2024-03-29 at 11.49.20.mov

Ok, shopping bag or lock symbol I still think it means you are not supposed to be able to mess them up? Moving brushes on the iPad takes no time at all, you left swipe and select move and re-arrange brushes to your hearts content, only on these shopping bag brushes when you left swipe the move option is greyed out. The export and import gives you a second set of brushes that are not linked to the store so you can customise them how you please, apparently. RPReplay_Final1711710778.mp4

Look at the brushes category name to tell you which are locked and which are not locked. What you can do is tap the hamburger icon at the top right and export the locked brushes category, rename them then import them back in.and you will see the lock symbol will vanish (whether this is supposed to happen or not !) . Note this tends to lock Affinity up (a sign that we are not allowed to do this but can?) but once you close it down and reopen the duplicated brushes category is available unlocked so you can move things about.

joining open and closed vectors
Paul Mudditt replied to Rarast's topic in Affinity on iPad Questions
I must apologies I think I went down the wrong garden path here, I think for your CNC machine you have no need of the frets in your design since your CNC cuts out a solid object? Returning to your original guitar shape my solution is to draw the outline to your correct dimensions with a minimal visible stroke, then use the vector fill tool to create a solid object, then set the stroke to zero. Export as a single solid shape SVG to your cutting system. So in answer to your question no point in filling in all of the details unless they serve some purpose on your cutting machine. joining vectors.svg joining vectors.afdesign -

For your example there is no real change in dimensions. RPReplay_Final1711496322.mp4 -

SVG’s for CRICUT and other systems must be a simple closed paths not strokes. As you have found there is no way to describe a t-junction in vector graphics hence, we draw it, then expand to curves so that each stroke is a shape. Once they are shapes we can add and subtract etc to create a simple SVG that other systems can work from. Not sure if that answers your question as I have only discovered this myself after a question in my facebook groups (in my signature) recently. RPReplay_Final1711379657.mp4
