Is there a way to make a diagonal guide? I am doing some drawing in perspective and would like to snap to vanishing guideline. I was wanting to recreate a photograph I took of a glass walled office building. Part of that was to accurately scale the windows and I was using a trick with right triangles, the hypotenuse and adjacent sides, so I wanted a snap to the vanishing line; there may be an easier way to do it, but it seems to work.

I can open the HEIC file in Preview. Then do a select all, copy. Then in Affinity Photo create new file from clipboard. Clumsy, but it works. My version of Pixelmator opens HEIC files

Okay, place any responses on hold. I see in an earlier post that this is a known problem and should be fixed in an update. It isn't too inconvenient as text strings are usually short, it is just that last night I wanted to paste some poetry into a graphic.

I had the same question and unfortunately created a new topic before seeing this one. I will wait for the next version and hopefully it will be fixed then. This is otherwise a great app.

I can't get it to work, what are the steps that I need to do with the following work flow: On my iPad Pro Create some text in Pages or Notes and copy it. Open Affinity Photos, on the iPad, and create a text frame. How do I paste the text from the iPad's clipboard?

Thanks, Callum I will try it again. I couldn't get the Select Select All Paste you usually get when tapping on the screen.

How do I paste text that I have created in a text editor, or from some such place, and have on the clipboard?

This should be in the tutorials. Maybe it is, and I missed it.
