As far as i know currently you can only nudge objects if you have a wireless keyboard paired with the iPad (or an Apple Smart Keyboard or similar) and press the cursor keys. Even so pressing ⇧ (shift) (to nudge 10x more) isn't working at the moment since keyboard shortcuts aren't fully implemented in the iPad version. This should improve in upcoming versions/updates.
