Not sure that is true any longer, but in any case, they are a DxO product now, and the issues are already explained in the thread @Puck pointed to.  Serif is not going to fix this, this is related to changes Apple made in their development tools, and the current versions of the plugins are not going to work in the upcoming 1.7 versions - DxO will need to update the plugins to work with programs compiled with newer versions of Apple's development tools.  They will probably break for other hosts too at some point as the other hosts update to use the newer development tools.

I’ve created a macro that can simulate the look of Infrared Photography. It expands on the method that James outlined in his tutorial video, adding a few additional flourishes. The macro is attached and can be imported into Affinity Photo.

To import the macro, select the “hamburger” icon at the top, right of the Library panel. Choose “Import Macros…”

Start by choosing a Pixel layer. Click the macro and you will get a lovely infrared-looking image.

    1) If you adjust the opacity of the layer named “Infrared Inverted” you can add more or less color to the image.
    2) True infrared images have a softness and graininess to them. Because of that, I have included a Noise layer and a Diffuse Glow layer. Feel free to adjust them, or turn them off.
    3) If the image has too much pink to suit your liking, open the HSL layer and switch to the Reds. Lower the Saturation until the pinkish color is muted or gone.
    4) I have placed a Lens Filter adjustment at the top of the layer stack. It is a blue filter, which will cool the image a bit. By default, it is turned off. Turn it back on to apply it.

Here is the macro in action:

    Hello Team
i've been working on a project to check the new AFPub .270 but noticed:
The software crash every time I tried to reorder the pages using the drag and drop method.
i Tried to re-order one page at a time made the software crash.
i Tried to re-order couple of pages (4 in this case) made the software crash
Note: This Manual Re-ordering of pages was 100% working in previous version !
    Suggestion:
Not only it would be great for this to be fixed but, Dev's should implement a complementary method of Page re-reorder instead of havong only one way to do that, thus putting us in safe land; if one fails, we can use the other method.
    Blessings !

    ===
Hello Dominik, I'm 100% with you. I do not criticize Serif. The probability of a later implementation is very high, even with an own persona. And until then there are different workarounds, as you have already described.
    Cheers, Puck

    Hi @Puck,
    Cheers,

with no doubt print preview is important in a professional workflow. I would think this could be in the future part of a seperate 'Persona' in APub. I'm only guessing, here. From how I see it, Serif first tries to get the basic functionality right. And will then add further functionality piece by piece.

    Hello @Puck,
no answer does not mean anything personal towards you. Sometimes questions just slip through or someone doesn't have an good answer for you.
Overprint preview is not available, yet, nor individual colours. You might look into 'Adjustment layers > Soft Proof'. This is not the same but offers some possibilities.
Here's an interesting article on this (in German): https://carsten-nichte.de/blog/proofing-mit-affinity-photo/

When I bought AP a few weeks ago I found I needed a tablet. I bought a small Wacom Intuos for $70 and it works quite well. I'm obviously not a pro so you may need some of the fancy features (eraser/scroll wheel on the stylus, more than 4 buttons on the tablet, etc.) that come with more expensive tablets. But for me it's more than sufficient.
I'm on Windows, but Wacom fully supports Mac.
Forgot to mention; the tablet is small which I thought might be a problem, but it provides a Precision Mode that maps the tablet to a portion of your screen allowing for very fine control.

I'd say you can use most to some degree, it might be better to ask about tablets you are looking at or what your budget is.
There are some very competent tablets out there like the XP-Pen brand which I personally use (Artist 12) although I have now ordered an XP-Pen 22e. I have also owned the XP-Pen Deco 03 which was a great tablet.
Quite a few people use Huion which are comparable to XP-Pen, then of course there is the mighty Wacom brand which can be expensive depending on which model of tablet you buy.

Very glad to see this! It could also use an extra-large size for people on large 5K monitors. I hope the left side tools bar gets enlarged soon as well! Maybe 2-3 times the size (probably 3 times the current size given the major increase in pixel density screens.)

What if you select three or more text frames? Do you want them all to have text rulers showing, or do you only want the rulers showing when you are working in a text frame? I prefer to have as little clutter on the page as possible.

I agree, and I generally do this 90% of the time, as I can never be sure either when someone else might post in between...

You can quote just a few words as in this example, to help maintain the flow of the conversation.

Alternatively, you could at least provide the name of the person you are responding to (or even just "OP" in this case would have helped), as that would also make it more clear what is going on.  You did post about 1/2 hour after @Puck did, so I probably jumped to the conclusion as well that you were replying to him rather than to @Husbandman the first time I read through that.

Ten sam filtr w wersji Affinity Photo 1.6 działał znacznie poprawniej. Proponuję powrót do poprzedniej wersji. Nie psujmy tego co działa dobrze. Pozdrawiam

I was never a friend of this old "media-browser", but it was better than having nothing! I never understand why is SERIF not taken the infos from finder and create a fast and effective "Just searcher/opener" - in enclouure to its "native DAM". A DAM is for most people a RAW-studio and should be a separte app. A bridge-like "media-browser" is not a really app, its a feature, BELONG to an app like AP:
Adobe Bridge is just an "special gift" for use in other "allowed" apps... "Adobe Lightroom" is an autark app for RAWdys...... SERIF seems not the see the difference between an necessary and and i would say "just a gift" "file-manager" and a rellay autark RAW-seperate-DAM or however called.
An integrated "picture/file-manager" (semi-smart-Browser/reorganisator = Bridge) should be  available DIRECTLY  from inside the app... is not really standard, but it will common!
A special DAM (light adobe lightroom) is another address, a seperate app.... But yes, a a DAM_like-just-browser/opener/organizer... should be part as "from inside the app" panel...

The 16 media-browswer was a very bad "transfer" of this idea... but however, it was a little bit better than NOTHING!!! This is really a re-gress. To "ask" stock-www - this is possible, but to ask your finder/explorer... for folder, file-extension or some tags???? this ois too difficault?
Course, there is no "perfect" Media-Browser as fast--shot! , just do it like the STOCKS... Just present us our folders/tags... as far as possible. However keep in the BG work on a really DAM. But decide: THere is bridge (which should contain to the app as a GIFT) and threeis Lightroom (as real SEPARTE app).

Further to this is that both Designer and Publisher's current betas will not open a beta .109 Photo document, they just hang as soon as the open button is clicked. Both will open 1.6 versions of Affinity Photo. A force quit is the only way to get out of the situation.

Same here, not with the place image tool or the menu command. Nothing happens I can see and select the Photo document but that is it. Build .109 documents toss up a warning about being from a newer version of the suite when I use Designer's beta to try and open a Photo document. Plus I have to check if I can crash the publisher beta again trying to place a document.
