  1. I got it to partially work by creating a macro to resize at percentage. However, it only works with the vertical images. It squeezes the horizontals into verticals. So I now have to go in and change all the horizontals to verticals before processing. This is frustrating and time consuming and makes the convenience of batch processing somewhat pointless. I'm hoping percentages can be worked into AP at some point, as as I am finding it cumbersome to work with.
  2. Thanks Scungio. Sorry for being so vague. I need to batch process documents (images). See my post here: I did finally manage to get it done, but I think there are still issues with some of the images. I'll spend some more time with it this evening when I'm not so tired. Would be a whole lot easier though, if there was a percentage option.
  3. I have about 200 documents that are different sizes. Some are vertical and some are horizontal. I need to resize each of them at the same percentage. I tried creating a macro to use with batch job, but after I enter 25%, it changes to pixels. I also tried doing a batch job without a macro by entering 25% in width and height, but it changes every document to 25 pixels. How can I do this without changing every document separately??
  4. PLEASE add a dropdown for percentages!
  5. I cast my vote for this. Would love to assign keyboard shortcuts to macros.
  6. I'd like to add the image to show you what I mean. You can see in the "before" image that the text--especially the smaller text--is clear and readable. I straightened the image just slightly ("after") and you can [hopefully] see that the smaller text is now wobbly and not as clear as it was. You can also see that the second letter "E" in the word "SUPER-SHELL" (larger text at the bottom) has a curve to it. There are also other minor distortion throughout the image. Can I please get a response to this? Also need a response to my earlier question: I am unable to batch process jpgs. This is critical in order for this software to be of use to me. after.afphoto before.afphoto
  7. I am slowly feeling my way through this program. I work strictly with jpgs. No RAW files. I tried the straighten function using the crop tool as specified (choose crop tool, select straighten, draw line, release mouse). When the image straightens, there is a noticeable amount of distortion in the image. Am I doing something wrong?
  8. RE: my initial post above: After some research on your batch processing feature, I'm guessing the reason I can't get batch process to work is because you can only batch process RAW files. Is this correct? I shoot strictly for the internet. My photos do not have to be beautiful. Therefore, all the files I upload to my laptop are jpgs. I often need to resize over 100 images at a time. I would hate to do these all individually. Is there a solution to this?
  9. Agree with everything written above. I do not want my original files overwritten when batch processing.
  10. So I tried my first batch process just as a test. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but it is not working. I added about 5 large jpgs that I wanted to resize into the source list. The first issue is that when I check "Save Into" (to select another location), it does NOT uncheck "save into original location." In other words, both radio buttons stay checked. The larger issue is that the OK button at the bottom is grayed out rendering the batch process feature unusable. I can't imagine that I'm doing something wrong. It seems like a pretty simple procedure. I'm on a Macbook Pro using Lion 10.7.5
  11. I have no idea where to post this. I have a few questions that I can hopefully get answers to here. If not, please let me know where to post. I just downloaded Affinity Photo 1.5.2. Trying to figure out if it will suit my needs so I can finally get rid of Photoshop. I often have to edit 100+ jpgs at once, mostly resizing and rotating. - Is there any way to apply changes to multiple OPEN files (jpgs) instead of only seeing tiny thumbnails with "new batch job?" - If the only way to do it is by using the thumbnails in New Batch Job, is there a way to check that everything is as I'd like it before saving the files? - Is there a limit as to how many files you can process in one batch?
