Henrik got a reaction from LCamachoDesign in [APh] Keep embedded documents as embedded after transformation.
I came here to ask precisely this question as I noticed it was rasterising the layer. I'm not sure whether the most common use case would be to rasterise or not, but for me it seems logical that you would want to use non-destructive methods on embedded documents. Could the assistant switch to live filtering if you try to do a destructive transformation on an embedded document, with the option to switch back if you were actually going for destruction?

I mean, I can always rasterise manually before transforming, if that's what I'm going for.

Zeplin plugin support would be awesome, or Affinitys own exporting specs system. I really like the new UI/UX features hopefully theres spec support coming soon!

If Affinity Designer would have it's own Viewer App or Service for measuring sizes and distances and copying CSS properties, we wouldn't have to rely on PSD exports anymore. My workflow is like: Designer (Illustrator until I switched) >> PSD Export >> Avocode / Zeplin.

It would be so much better if it was Affinity Designer >> Affinity Viewer.

    Done.

Henrik got a reaction from Jimmypearf in PDFs incompatible with Acrobat
    Hello!

All PDFs I produce that are sufficiently large open as blanks in Acrobat. They look fine in Preview on Mac, or Sumatra PDF on Windows. Is there any way to get way to get around this problem?

    Example file attached!

    Hi Henrik,
In the latest Designer Beta - 1.4.2 beta 5 (RC1) already submitted to the Mac App Store -, the guides move with the artboards.

    Hi Henrik,
That seems an issue with boolean operations.
Can you post the afdesign file shown in your video (with those two/three icons). I would like to check them out.
I'm already downloading the free Glyphish icons to test this further.
[EDIT] They are only available as png's unfortunately [/EDIT].
    Thanks.

Henrik got a reaction from A_B_C in New Branding for Affinity
To me, the core of design is purpose. As such, it's hard to evaluate without knowing what you want to achieve with them. Whether we subjectively like them might be a good question to ask, but a better question to ask is whether they evoke the response in your audience that you want to evoke.

I think the new icons are probably more unique in the landscape of design app icons, so they will probably do a better job of standing out against the crowd, if that is what you wanted to achieve.

Henrik reacted to MEB in Snap to intersection
    Hello Henrik,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums.
No, currently it's not possible to snap to an intersection. This is coming soon, along with other improvements to the snapping system.
