  1. I am primarily a Linux user and dual boot my system. When I need to use Affinity suite or some other Windows program I just boot into Win 7. Until now Affinity V1 has worked fine and I have never really had any desire to upgrade to Win10. I DLd the 30-day trials just to give them a try first but with every intention of purchasing sooner rather than later. But I found the installer is a .msix and not the usual .exe that I am used to. So as it stands now I can't install V2. I have searched and it *seems* there is some framework that can be added to Win7 to make .msix files install but I can't find any clear instruction on how to do it. V2, especially in Designer, has some features that I have very much been hoping for so I am keen to be able to use it. Am I out of luck using it on Win7 or am I going to be forced to upgrade (is it an upgrade?) to Win10? There is not an insignificant number of people still using Win7 so this is disappointing to say the least. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
  2. Hi all, First post here and let me say I am so happy I found this software, might not be quite the Adobe killer yet, but they should be very worried from what I can see so far! I am using primarily Designer at the moment to design T Shirts for Amazon Merch and book covers for Amazon KDP. I did a search but did not find exactly what I am looking for, and that may be down to my not knowing the proper terms to search for, so if this has been covered before please forgive me. What I want to do is create distressing on text or graphics using a grunge style brush but to the point that it erases the text so the worn/distressed areas take on the color of the underlying fabric of the shirt on which it is printed. How might I achieve this? Thanks PS- Are there any grunge type brushes available anywhere for AD/AP?
