Which Affinity package are you using? This is how you do it in Designer but you might be able to achieve the same results in Publisher (and possibly Photo) using a similar method.
Use the Elipse Tool  to draw a circle over your image. Press shift+drag when drawing the elipse to create a perfect circle. Set its colour to white and reduce its opacity using the Opacity slider at the bottom of the Colour tab.
Add text using the Artistic Text Tool  or the Frame Text Tool . You can format your text using the toolbar that appears at the top when your text is selected.

Yes you're right! I mixed up the font size setting and the UI dark/light setting. My apologies everyone!

I have Windows 10 myself but I looked up how to change your font size in Windows 7. I think this article may help. To summarise:
Press Windows Logo Key + U to open the Ease of Access settings. Under Explore all settings, select Make computer easier to see. Under Make things on the screen larger,  select Change the size of text and icons. Select the Medium - 125% option and select Apply and press Enter. You may need to restart your computer for your changes to take effect.

Thanks Cara, that's a really good way of going about this. I will give this a shot this evening. Sometimes you just need a second pair of eyes.

There's probably a lot of ways to tackle this but I would do the line art and colouring separately:
Copy and paste the open lines. Close the new lines and remove their stroke Fill the new closed shapes with colour.

    Hi everyone,
I would like to thank all the staff at the helpdesk for their incredible work they do on the forums.
I know I'm probably not the easiest person to deal with, but seeing how much work those guys, namely @Patrick Connor, @Callum, @Chris B, @Sean P, @Adam, @MEB, @Lee D, @DWright, @Gabe and @Leigh, put in servicing customer request is stunning.
So thank you all, and thank all those I haven't mentioned above (sorry, guys). Please, keep your good work up.

Cara, thank you SO SO much!  This is fabulous!  It's made all the difference.  Honestly, you have saved the day and my straining eyes.  Thank you again so much for taking the trouble to help.  I've read that many others have had the same problem.  I just hope they can get to your answer to it as well.  Bless you!
  9. Thanks

I see the same problem as the OP.
    Method:
Create a new document and save it as “initial document.afdesign”. Export the document to PDF (keep filename as suggested by Designer “initial document.pdf”). Save As the document with a new name “copied document.afdesign”. Export the document to PDF (keep filename as suggested by Designer “copied document.pdf”). Open “initial document.pdf” in Adobe Reader – panel title shown as “initial document.pdf” Open “copied document.pdf” in Adobe Reader – panel title shown as “copied document.pdf” However, the Title of the “copied document.pdf” in Adobe Reader Properties shows as “initial document”.
    See attached image.
I agree that it should be possible for the user to change the Title which is shown in Properties in Adobe Reader (and other PDF veiwers).
For example, I generally create lots of different versions of the same document before it is finalised, each version with a numerical suffix. However, when the document is finalised I don’t want it to have the Title of, for example, “My Document – V1” (the first version), I would prefer to use a title of “My Document” and have all copies keep that same title throughout the process.

Yes, Cara, would be great if Affinity did their own website building package. (Maybe they'll hear us.) Fingers crossed.
