Not sure why your comment starts with "but".

At bottom-left of Layers panel is the Edit All Layers button. It actually has an effect on Artboards, not just Layers (note the uppercase L). The default state of Edit All Layers is 'enabled', as seen in your screenshots. When it is 'disabled', objects will not jump out of an Artboard.

Shape Builder Issues 2.0.0
lepr replied to jaromeB's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Already corrected in the 2.0.3.3 beta -
Welcome to the Affinity forums Even if there was an acknowledgement of this thread from Serif, a fix for this bug is very unlikely to materialise, in my opinion. There are workarounds, though. If the clipping object is pure white with Multiply blend mode, then simply change its fill to none instead of white. Otherwise, enclose the clipping object in a Group and give the desired blending mode to the Group.

Problems with printing
lepr replied to MarkkuS's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Affinity app preferences do not have a control for specifying a default profile for JPEGs. Affinity currently assigns sRGB (without warning) when an RGB JPEG has no profile, regardless of the app profile preferences. Anyway, the exports from Capture One do have an embedded profile, which is Adobe RGB according to your first message. OK, that sounds correct since Capture One will have embedded that profile in the JPEG and Affinity will automatically use that when opening the JPEG. Going back to your original post: It certainly seems strange that merely assigning Adobe RGB profile to a document that already has Adobe RGB profile will change the print result. Hopefully, someone else has experience of that and can provide advice.- 3 replies

Problems with printing
lepr replied to MarkkuS's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Welcome to the Affinity forums Normally, the profile embedded in a JPEG is automatically assigned to the document that Affinity creates when opening the JPEG. If there is no embedded profile, then Affinity will assume sRGB in the case of JPEG and PNG. What profile is Affinity automatically using when opening your Adobe RGB JPEGs?- 3 replies

Poor antialiasing

In the area named "Feature Requests & Suggestions", but realise Serif normally will not respond unless they require clarification. -

Something to consider is that if View Quality is "Nearest Neighbour" then the document can look terribly jaggy when zoom is not 100%. Set View Quality to "Bilinear" in the Performance section of the app's Preferences. -

Welcome to the Affinity forums Use 99.9% hardness instead of 100%. When you enter a non-integer percentage, it will be misleadingly displayed in the control as an integer but the real value will be stored and used. -
Strange glitch on the picture display in Affinity Photo
lepr replied to Olivier Libaert's topic in V1 Bugs found on macOS
There is no problem for me with that file. I suspect it is a GPU problem. Try changing settings in the Performance section of the app's preferences. -
Yes, Affinity Photo has layer linking that uses the same technology as Designer's symbols. Select a text object then do Layer > Duplicate Linked. Now when one text object is edited, the linked text object is simultaneously updated.

Strange glitch on the picture display in Affinity Photo

I have that camera and a Mac, and I've not had the problem that you showed. It would be helpful if you attach one of your .ARW files. -
Symbol tweaks unique to specific symbol
lepr replied to kirk23's topic in Feedback for Affinity Designer V1 on Desktop
Disable symbol syncing before doing the Mask to Below and then restore syncing after the mask is applied: the mask will exist on only the one instance of the symbol. -

Welcome to the Affinity forums Affinity will rasterise when a masking object has a stroke. Your mask has a stroke that is disabled in the Appearance panel and Affinity seems to be ignoring the fact that the mask stroke is disabled when making the decision to rasterise. If you set the stroke style to "No Line Style" then there will be no rasterising.
