Thank you but that didn't answer my question. I am trying to find out how to get texture images to be used in FX Styles. In the iPad version I do not see how to import a bitmap image to be used in Styles. I hope someone can understand what I'm trying to ask. Thanks -
I would like to know if it is possible to import texture images into Designer to be used as a color fill in Styles? I notice there are many FX Styles with textured or metallic effects. How can I add a texture graphic to use in styles? Thank you. :)

I just got the bitmap fill to work using the gradient tool...Thank you. But I'd like to know how to make a pattern from a selection in my image. How do I save it as a pattern that I can then apply to text? Thank you very much. -

Thanks but I'm looking to fill it with a patten or bitmap using the Fill tool as can be done in the desktop version. I tried to use the gradient tool to apply a bitmap but it just cause Affinity to crash consistently -
I'd like to know if it is possible to fill with a pattern in Affinity Photo for iPad? I know this can be done on the desktop version but I do not see the option for bitmap when I select the Fill tool on the iPad. I only see fill or erase options. I want to fill some text with a pattern. Can this be done on the ipad version and if so I'd appreciate specific instructions. Thank you in advance.

Adding Noise To Fill?

Thank you very much, Alfred. I was playing around with it and found that out. Would you know the benefits of rasterizing a layer? (I don't like reading manuals and usually just try this out till I discover how it works - or unless I get too frustrated) I guess I SHOULD read it! -
When I use the Color Studio and add noise to the color using the slider to choose the amount of noise and then use the Fill tool to fill the background layer, it only applies the color and not the nose that I added in the Color Studio options. How can I get it to fill with noise? Thank you.

I was finally able to get the style file to decompress using Documents and then imported them into Affinity Thank you for your assistance! I have one other question : where exactly do I import gradients into Affinity? I know where the Styles and Brushes get imported from but I don't see where to import gradients. Thank you once again for the your assistance

Yours shows Dropbox as an option to get files...I don't see that listed.

I opened it with Zip Tool and then used Open With option in Zip Tool and choose Affinity Photo. It opened up Affinity Photo but brought up a message stating it could not be opened - it is not an Affinity file! (See my snapshot of the error message). If i try to Import through Affinity it only shows the option to choose files from my iPad or fun the Cloud...Dropbox is not available to get files. Now what do I do???

I cannot do that! I am using an iPad Pro and when I try to import styles it takes me to my Cloud storage. If I save the style to Dropbox and uncompress them it doesn't have an option to open it in Affinity Photo on Export.

I AGREE COMPLETELY! IT IS VERY VERY AGGRAVATING! It is much easier in Photoshop. I hope they refine this soon.
