    Hi all,
Thanks for taking part in the Affinity Publisher Beta.
Now that we are launched, I thought it might be useful to give you all a quick rundown on how to transfer over content from Beta to Retail.

    The "Faster" Way!
    Affinity Store
Once you've installed the retail build and ran it up:
Navigate to %AppData%\Roaming\Affinity\Publisher Rename the "1.0" folder to "1.0 Backup" Copy and Paste the "1.0 (Beta)" folder, rename the copy "1.0 (Beta) Backup" Rename "1.0 (Beta)" folder to "1.0" Windows Store
Navigate to %AppData%\Affinity\Publisher Copy the "1.0 (Beta)" folder Navigate to %LocalAppData%\Packages\SerifEuropeLtd.AffinityPublisher_844sdzfcmm7k0\LocalCache\Roaming\Affinity\Publisher\ Rename the "1.0 (Store)" folder to "1.0 (Store) Backup" Paste the "1.0 (Beta)" folder into this directory and rename it "1.0 (Store)" This will essentially just move all the custom user data over to retail
    The "Safer" Way!
    Assets
    In Beta:

View > Studio > Swatches if not already enabled     Click the burger menu in the top right     Click "Import Palette" > As document/application palette     Choose the file you exported earlier
    Keyboard Shortcuts
    In Beta:
Edit > Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts     Click Save     Save the file locally
    In Retail:
Edit > Preferences > Keyboard Shortcuts     Click Load     Choose the file you saved earlier

No - ePub is not ‘minor market’ - every book publisher now produces an ebook at the same tine as the hardback snd audio book of their new publications.

Yes, we'll add more export formats in future to support e-publications. (I'm not going to commit to exactly which ones.) For this initial 1.7 release we chose to coast with our existing PDF because we had so much else to do. We have left a lot of work to do over the coming years.

    Hi AlanPickup,

There is a known crash with development when 'Favor editable text over fidelity' is checked, so I presume it is this that you have been running into. However have you been able to get it to crash when importing the PDF with that checkbox unchecked? If so could you attach a screenshot of the PDF Options you are using that makes it crash with that checkbox disabled?
    Thanks!
