  1. I'm trying to make a design to be used with a laser cutter, but when I export as SVG and send it to the company, the dimensions are wrong. They are using Illustrator. I noticed that the SVG file uses px instead of mm, so I'm wondering if that's the problem. It also looks like the artboard is totally wrong. Is there any way to export with the correct mm dimensions?

  2. In your document, some of the strokes use mitre joins and some use inside alignment. Either may force the stroke to be expanded. If you Select All, then select Butt Cap then Round Cap, then Bevel Join then Round Join, then Align Stroke to Inside then Align Stroke to Centre, that should fix it. (Setting each attribute twice is just a way of ensuring all the objects get set even if the first one already had the desired value.)
