  1. Hi everyone,

I downloaded the promotional brushes, and installed on my affinity for iPad.

I noticed that they come with brush name in the list.

How I can show my brush name in my custom library? I have many custom brushes created by myself, but every time it's hard to distinguish one from each other. I'd like to have a label with their names. Like I have with this new promotional brushes.

    Hi lucarubino,

Sorry that the beta isn't working well for you. Are you using the Apple Pencil? If so, please turn off 'Touch for gestures only' (Preferences (Cog in top right corner) > Tools) as I suspect our gestures aren't working with that setting properly anymore.

    Andy

Yes. I confirm. Disabling "Touch for gestures only" it work again. With pencil too. Enabling that option, it doesn't work.

  3. Now I installed the new beta 3 on my iPad 10.5 (iOS 11.2.5) and now, Affinity photo is useless! But, do you test your beta?

I cannot use brush, stamp tool, pen tool... when I start to draw something, nothing happened! Long press now works (for me, a little bit longer to wait is better). But when I want to draw... nothing.

Text tool doesn't work as well.

Gradient tool works... at 50%. I cannot select start/end points.

I cannot do nothing with this version!

I can zoom. I can apply some filters. And nothing more.

    Lasso tool.. nothing.. anything works!

  4. I have a big suggest for you.

Your software is great and the hardware too (iPad 10.5). So why I still use AF on desktop all the time? Due to the lack of a cursor.

When i do D&B, I never see the area affected by the brush and this is annoying me. I don't know if the brush size fit my needs. And I cannot be precise (which area will be affected when I use the pencil?)

I know that iPad doesn't have a cursor as I have on my desktop, but it would be nice to have a button that once you press it, the Apple Pencil doesn't draw anything, but just moving a cursor on the canvas.

When I release the button, still showing the cursor, I start to draw, as well as I do right now.

    Sorry for my english.

  5. No. It doesn't work. When I select the source layer, the filter affects the source layer as well.

Why not make it simpler? Showing all layer in the list? Like PS does!

To have the result I want I have to export the layer as JPEG on Files, select the layer, choose apply image and then tap Image and navigate to, then select the source image to import. Too long and waste of time (and battery as well).

And I can't make it with macros. Because the macro that works on AF Desktop, doesn't work on iPad.

  6. HI!

I'm trying to use Apply image on iPad but I have unexpected results.

First of all, how I can select another layer as source? In Desktop version I have to drag the layer on the Apply Image filter's box. (Why not to show all layers in the list???)

Here on iPad it doesn't work. I didn't find any way to make it works.

And I made a macro on Desktop version, doing something like this. Of course, it works with every single images. If I import that macro on iPad, I have very odd result. Something doesn't work at all on iPad with Apply Image.

  7. Hi!

I'm new to Affinity. I'm trying the mac version with a iPad version as well. It's a great workflow to use it on-the-go, and finished my work when I back home. But I tried to replicate a great feature I had in PS. A dual monitor view. In PS I could replicate the window I'm woking on, and edit one on my cintiq (zooming, rotating without effect on the other) and watch the result in fit mode, on second monitor.

I'm missing something, or it's not possible (I hope yet) this feature?

    Thanks
