Drawing an elliptical mask from a centre point

X2 on concentric circles/paths.
I have been experimenting with Affinity Photo. I am a professional illustrator/ painter and do mainly technical and automotive stuff, so painting a concentric ellipse is a must and a deal breaker for me. I'm working on a new painting now and trying to do it completely in Affinity Photo. So far I don't see a way to paint on a path like an ellipse or a curved path ( wheel or sweep of a fender).
I'm in the same boat as a lot of other people. I have over 20 years invested in Adobe products but am done now. CS6 is my last purchase. I also use Corel Painter, Artrage, SketchBook Pro and ClipStudio. So far Affinity Photo has great brushes and drawing tools but it's lacking some tools I need. I haven't tried Affinity Designer yet, but some of the samples look amazing.
Is anybody using Photo for painting professionally yet?
