    Hi @Tschens,
This hasn't changed, the index will be imported as plain text but Publisher won't see it as an Index.
I do believe this is on the Dev teams list to add support for, so it should come in a future build.

To make it faster to replicate the index in Publisher:
With the imported text version of your ID index, select each index topic one by one. Add an index topic for the selected text. Don't worry about the references (page numbers) yet. Once you're done you'll have all the topics created so you can delete the index text. Using the Index panel, right click each topic and choose Find in Document. Choose which ones you want to add references for. Use your old ID index as a guide, if you had 3 references for Oranges before then you'll know you should be looking for those same 3 references now, and will know the rough page number. A few references might be trickier to find. For example, if the old index had a reference for Oranges on a specific page which used only the word Orange without the "s", it wouldn't show up with Find in Document so you'd have to find it manually. But Find in Document will streamline this process for you.

Now I got it. I thought you show in this video how to make the shortcut. But you just show how to use it. Finally, I was able to reproduce the shortcut, now it works. Thanks Paul!

Ignore my last message. Seems to work fine now. I had to rename the layer from "background" to "Hintergrund". :-)
Thx to the dev team for solving this issue!

You made my day, DM1 from Down Under :-). It works perfectly with files from the OMD E-M1. The files from OMD E-M1X cannot be imported, even not with the very recent iOS update 12.2. I hope there will be a minor update soon which solves this issue.
    Cheers,

    Hey Tschens,
    Thanks for the files.
I'm not quite sure what has gone wrong here if I'm honest. I'm going to poke it a bit more but it will likely get passed to the developers. We should be retaining functionality with 1.6 macros when used in 1.7.

Since I upgraded my beta from 1.6.5 to 1.7.0.x, I have a problem with a macro which I use to create a frame+copyright text around my pictures. The final 2 steps of the macro is a self-made "picture brush" with my copyright text. This picture brush doesnt work any more, it simply doesnt appear in my pics. I re-created the final 2 steps of the macro and it worked again, but after re-starting affinity it again doesnt work.
Is this a known isue? I could provide the macro + picture brush, if needed.

Btw: Is there a way to erase single steps within a macro or to re-arrange the order of the single steps of a macro to fine-tune it? Couldnt find this option so far. If the answer is no, please put that on a wish-list. :-)

The more interesting question is, why the Affinity guys comment things on sundays, instead of turning their steaks on the grill. Hopefully this does not end in burnouts.

Tschens reacted to 4Lakes in Automatic lens correction not sufficient, manual choice desired
I too think the user should be able to choose if lens corrections on an image should be automatic, based on EXIF data, or instead be specified by the user.
Mirrorless cameras such as the Sony a7 series cameras are a case in point. There are several electronic adapters that allow non-Sony lenses to use many of the camera's electronic functions. One way this is done (e.g. Metabones adapter) is the adapter identifies the lens in use as an equivalent Sony lens. For example, when a Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM is attached via the Metabones adapter, the RAW file EXIF data records the lens as Sony's "24-70mm F2.8 G SSM II". Rather than go through the process of changing data in the proprietary RAW file with the risks of corrupting the file, the user should be able to select the correct lens profile.
The short flange to sensor distance in mirrorless cameras also allows use of numerous purely mechanical lenses, some "vintage", some new. For such lenses there is no EXIF data recorded. Once again, the user should be empowered to be able to select the correct lens profile and not be forced to undertake the risk of editing a proprietary RAW file format.
Finally, competing RAW processing software allows users to select the correct lens profile. Adobe Carmera RAW allows this. Adobe Lightroom allows this. Capture One allows it (if a profile is available). ON1 Photo RAW 2018 allows it. Affinity Photo needs to keep up with the competition.
I made a similar request feature request here some time ago LINK.

    Hi Tschens

We've managed to recreate these and some others so we have made sure they have all been reports so they can be addressed in the next beta

Just as a note can you report issues in the beta within the beta section of the forums as the regular bugs section is more for released software

    Thanks
