    A nice surprise to see Ash presenting Affinity Photo at WWDC. I hope this visibility will bring new Affinity apps customers. I’ll surely get the app, then I’ll replace my old third generation iPad with the new 10.5 inch version.

    I still have faith in Serif team and I hope this delay is due to implement the best solution as performance, usability and compatibility. I don’t want a fake vector arrowhead like in Photoshop, but something similar to Illustrator solution. May be there are issues to make it fully compatible with closed standard or to manage with PDF or other vector export, but I’d like to hear a word from developers too. In past they surprised me: in my wishlist there was the constrains and they implemented the in a maxi release 1.5 constrains with auto layout and symbols, so my faith is still here :)

    Yes, strange, and is something similar to what happened in the project where I’ve got the overprint converting text to curves. Creating a new file I get the right behaviour. Looking back to the history of this work, I think it was an error starting from the last pages of attached file template to quickly get a folder. pm_of_1mm_mass.pdf

    Same frustrating issue here. I have to convert texts to curves to get the black overprint to work :(

    In my work, with a lot of layers with similar thumbnail, this feature could save a lot of time. And why not implementing it with an ease-in-out or cubic bezier animation to help to understand where you were and where is the context of the selected object?

    If Blender uses svg ui icons https://github.com/dfelinto/blender/blob/3068ea34e414e7af6d20af7ab92c69cbd9a33414/release/datafiles/blender_icons.svg Affinity Designer 1.5.4 seems to use png and tiff.

    What? You mean that in future I’ll be able to trash my Justinmind subscription, Quartz Composer or Origami?

    I tried to reproduce it on Sierra with Magic Trackpad 2 and Magic Mouse 2 and I get this behavior when I move the pointer before the release of click. A micro movement can happen sometimes between click and release.

    Have you set in your Affinity Photo preferences “female”? But be careful, you may get pregnant! For safety, after 3 children, I’ve uninstalled this beta from my wife’s computer ;)

    The OS X built in versioning (used for example by Pixelmator) has a granularity of documents, so you can restore a full document version an replace the actual. Imagine the possibilities of a granularity of artboards, styles, objects, layers, etc.: you should commit an revert only some parts of a document an keep the rest of the document unchanged. A quite simple implementation of this method for visual design can be found in Justinmind. I mean quite simple because it use a "locks" that could confuse somebody not used to versioning systems.

    I’d like to see a version control with a good granularity in future. I tried to track a 100MB .afdesign for an user interface in a git repository and an after some commits and two branches the result was this:

    Yesterday I’ve spent 4 hours to write the documentation for the developers about an UI layout :wacko:

    With Affinity Photo 1.4 we get some plugins for Apple Photos: Develop, Haze Removal, Liquify, Miniature, Monochrome and Retouch. What about extending the ability of read Apple Photos plugins and not only Photoshop plugins? I sometime use DxO OpticsPro for Photos for quick noise removal and lens correction and I’d like to use it in Affinity Photo too.

    I continue to cmd+click on document title and nothing happens :rolleyes: Any news about this feature?

    Another solution is to set in Skala Preview “send all images on clipboard”, then select an artboard and cmd+c. In this case the DPI of the document has to be corrected for devices with x2 or x3 pixel density.
