  1. Thanks! Doesn't "Place" require that I place each page one at a time, though? Some of the PDFs that I need to insert into this one 50+ pages.
  2. I'm working on a giant Publisher v2 project file (my tenure portfolio), and one of the things I need to to is import pages from conference programs. Currently, when I use Add Pages from File, any fonts in the incoming file are replaced by fonts on my machine. That's causing all sorts of problems. I really don't want Publisher to do anything with this text. I just want it treated as a static image. Is there a way to change the import settings somewhere to make no adjustments to the incoming file and treat any type as curves/outlines?
  3. Aha! Quite right! The settings I'm looking for are in the Export dialogue! Sorry, it's clearly been about three years since the last time I dealt with this.
  4. Thanks for the information, but that's not at all the issue. The problem isn't related to updating tables of contents but having the items in the table of contents hyperlink to the pages in the document that contain those sections. In Publisher 1.x there was an advanced section of the TOC Studio that controls this.
  5. Hi all. I'm updating a relatively large (350ish pages), older document (2020) in Affinity Publisher 2. The document has several tables of contents (a top level one and then section-by-section ones). Previously (in Publisher 1), there was an option in the Table of Contents Studio for this, but I can't find it in Publisher 2.
  6. I really want to use Affinity Publisher to put the final touches on sheet music scores, but it's pretty much impossible to use for that until this feature is added. For the value, I know a lot of others who would switch from their current solutions when this becomes available.
  7. Just wanted to chime in here with @benwiggy that I continue to have the same problems with Affinity on imported PDFs. (In fact, I'm guessing from the same source applications.) I am usually simply trying to rearrange elements on the page, or hide certain elements from being printed. I'm not actually even editing the text, but just opening the file destroys anything that uses a ligature. Like Ben, I am forced to do this kind of work in Illustrator at present, but I would much rather do it in Publisher, and it doesn't seem to be an unusual request to open a file that has embedded characters correctly, especially when I do have the fonts installed on my computer.
  8. Wow. This was really hard to find. Could this maybe be included in the long-press context menu for type objects? That's how I usually get to it on the desktop.
  9. This could be a very cool context-aware feature. I think putting a Shift key on the screen doesn't make much sense, but a special "constrain proportions" button that only shows up while resizing is a perfect example of the sort of thing that is only possible when the whole screen is the interface.
  10. I completely agree. Working at different zoom levels and on differently sized images, it's really hard to figure out how big my brush is going to be. This is particularly useful since I'm using Apple Pencil, and I can really clearly see the point I'm touching.
  11. I was very surprised to see that there seemed to be no awareness in the app of the fact that I had a Pencil paired. Check out GoodNotes for a very different kind of app that has very good smart stylus awareness.
