  1. I would like to request a POLYGON MARQUEE selection tool. Perhaps, there is already a way to do this, however, there are many times when I really need such a tool and I can't seem to figure out how to do it. Thank you.
  2. I would like to request a POLYGON MARQUEE selection tool. Perhaps, there is already a way to do this, however, there are many times when I really need such a tool and I can't seem to figure out how to do it. Thank you. ____________ Sorry I just realized this is in the wrong area. I will post my request in the proper area.
  3. Well, for me the .net 4.7 did show up in either the programs control panel or the windows updates panel. It was not visible at all. So I was forced to use the clean up tool. But, either way it worked and Photo runs perfectly under .net 4.6.2.
  4. Hi Chris B, I found the issue. Affinity Photo is incompatible with .Net Framework 4.7 on Windows 7 or .Net 4.7 has bugs... either way Affinity Photo won't play nice with /Net 4.7 on Windows 7. Here's the problem though. For others having this problem, you will need to uninstall .Net 4.7, however, Microsoft has made this extremely difficult since .Net 4.7 doesn't show up in the uninstall window, thus you can not uninstall it in an easy manner. I had to use a program called .Net Framework Cleanup Tool to uninstall all my .Net Frameworks, then reinstall all of them back to version 4.6.2. Total pain in the butt... thanks Microsloth. But, Affinity Photo works again. YEAH!
  5. Hi Chris B, The tablet is actually a touchscreen monitor. It's the same monitor I used when Affinity Photo used to work. But, I'm going to uninstall .net 4.7 and see if that helps. If not, I'll undo a few windows updates until I can locate which one is messing it up. I'll report back when I find something. Thanks.

  7. Hi Chris, The issue isn't with the shortcut. The file in the installation folder is Photo.exe and I get the error if I try to execute the .exe directly. I got an update for .NET to 4.7; Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7 for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 for x64 (KB3186497) Installation date: ‎6/‎13/‎2017 3:29 PM Installation status: Successful Update type: Recommended The Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7 is a highly compatible, in-place update for all the previous versions of .NET Framework 4.X. After you install this update, you may have to restart your computer. In addition to that I have this update installed; May, 2017 Preview of Quality Rollup for .NET Framework 3.5.1, 4.5.2, 4.6, 4.6.1, 4.6.2 on Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 for x64 (KB4019288) Installation date: ‎6/‎12/‎2017 4:22 PM Installation status: Successful Update type: Optional I'm not sure why it stopped working, but it may have been a windows update (I suspect the .NET 4.7 update). So, when I get the time I will try uninstalling the last three updates and see if that works. However, in the meantime I cleaned the registry, and reinstalled photo (1.5.2) and tried to run it... still crashes out at start up with the same error. Thanks.
  8. I did notice in TaskManager though, that when I run try to run Affinity Photo it loads up two copies of dllhost.exe, then they quit shortly after loading. I don't know if that information is important or not?
  9. Hi Chris B, Unfortunately, there is no crashreports folder. So, I've tried renaming the 1.0 folder to 1.1 to force the app to recreate it, which it did, but still no crashreports folder. I downloaded the beta version. It installed fine without any problems. However, when I go to run it, it also has the exact same unhanded exception error. It also did not produce a crashreports folder for the beta version when it crashed. So, I don't know what to do at this point. Thanks for the suggestions.
  10. No Riva Tuner installed. I tried launching while holding the CTRL key, but it never gave me an option to CLEAR. It just threw up a new error box. Unhanded Exception Error Code: 0xE0434352 Thanks.
  11. I have the same problem (Win 7 64-bit). What I had to do was fix the permissions (right click -> properties -> Security tab -> select user name -> Press EDIT button -> Grant full control) of the folders (Affinity and Affinity Photo) then reinstall. The installer seems to be getting part of the way through then screws up the permissions on the install folders and thus can't proceeded. But, even though I got it installed, the app will not run for me.
  12. Windows 7 64-Bit (Ultimate). Affinity Photo doesn't even make it to the splash screen anymore. As soon as I run the app it crashes out (see enclosed image file). Error 0x80131534. I've installed, uninstalled, reinstalled, cleaned registry, installed again, and so on. Nothing works. Tried running as Admin. didn't change anything. Installed .net framework 4.6.something. Didn't help. Tried installing to different drive. Doesn't matter which drive it is on. I really like the app and I would really like to be able to use it. Any ideas? Thanks.
