  1. I'll try it out, I'm already using the heck out of the master pages and loving how they are presented and handled as layers. Still, there's a checkbox to exclude sections from export, is it impossible to add that at the page level...?
  2. I tried all these techniques and had this reaction to each: Layers - I use a combination of master pages and page-specific layers, so this breaks quickly. It also creates a situation where comparing two options for a page involves either duplicating the page and toggling the layers you want for each option, or toggling layers on and off. Both take a lot of extra clicks and prevent quick and easy comparisons (or exporting, if you actually do want each option for different outputs) Sections - I ended up doing this, but it is a total PITA if you have a page in the middle of a section that you want to hide from export. I ended up making a section at the very end of the document and putting the page alts into it, but it was annoying Work Boards - certainly offers the best view of the options, but I found this to be clunky to put the option that I wanted into the export. It was clunky Page Layers (Groups) - same issue with the first option, this breaks immediately when using master pages if you make updates to the masters, which I do a lot of Still nothing as simple as every other app's "hide this page" option...
  3. Text wrapping. The text boxes were juuuuuuust not wide enough for a second character and were getting clipped. Leave this post as a help to others and a testament to my going all the way around the world and back to solve a simple issue.
  4. looks like manually adding a "#" page number field to the individual pages does not work either, it starts the numbering at 1 for every page I add it to.
  5. I've got 7 master pages and 4 sections in a deck I'm creating. most of the master pages have a "#" page number inserted, and some of the master pages have a second text box with "<Section Name>". All of the section names are appearing correctly, but the page numbers are a mess. All sections are using "continue page numbering" but the page numbers for my 24pg document look like this: not shown (master slide does not have a page # field) not shown (master slide does not have a page # field) not shown (master slide does not have a page # field) not shown (master slide does not have a page # field) not shown (master slide does not have a page # field) not shown (master slide does not have a page # field) not shown (master slide does not have a page # field) not shown (master slide does not have a page # field) 9 1 (this is the first page of section 2, but it should show as page number 10) 11 1 1 1 1 (this is the first page of section 3, but it should show as page number 15) 1 1 1 1 2 2 (this is the first page of section 4, but it should show as page number 21) 2 2 not shown (master slide does not have a page # field) So only pg 9 and pg 11 are correct from the 15 pages that should show a number. To fix it I have deleted all of the sections and removed all of the page numbers from the master slides and re-created them from scratch. I might just add a page number manually to every page at this point but that's obviously not how it's designed or desired to work. This seems like a bug to me.
  6. It is an extremely common thing to have a couple different versions of certain pages while working on a presentation or deck, and every other tool used for such things (InDesign, Keynote, PowerPoint, Google Slides, etc. etc.) has the option to hide a page so that it does not show up in the exported or printed document, but it's available for reference or to make a decision between two options. Affinity does not have this option, and it's super frustrating.
  7. Working with 360º images would be a lot easier if we could pan/tilt/roll the image seamlessly in the canvas.
  8. The 360º tools in Affinity are... magical. If you wanted to get totally insane, you should implement importing files from PTGUI or AutoPano, they've got a very deep toolset for aligning/warping/blending but there's nothing in those packages for cleanup. The current best way to work is to stitch in one of those packages and render out the results with each camera perspective either on its own layer or as a different image file. But that workflow bypasses the fantastic blending they do, so it's not great. If you were to import .pts or .pano we could do the alignment in the tools best suited for it and then use Affinity for cleanup and finalization.
