Thanks I have uploaded a test file and as you can see from the screenshot on desktop it will not open the template file. When I change the file extension from .aftemplate to .afphoto it will open as normal with editing capabilities. Cheere

Ok Mike, this is strange but I changed the file name from .aftemplate to .afphoto and it opens perfectly...........??????

Thanks Mike. I have created a completely new file in Affinity Photo and exported it to desktop. When I double click to open it I get the following message

Templates are stored locally. I have opened privacy and security as you suggested but cannot find any Affinity Programmes listed ???

Since updating to Affinity 2.2.1 any file save as a template will not open saying that I do not have permission to open them Mac OS Sonoma 14.1. Will open any other file except templates. Have created a new file in Photo and exported it as a template to my desktop. Have tried to open it will all the Affinity Software but it will not let me saying that I do not have permission... Can anyone please help as I have very many file saved as templates.

Files not using the .aftemplate, eg .afphoto, .afdesigner are not effected... Strange.

No Walt it doesn't. Have just tried that. Other templates eg. Excel, Word etc are ok. If I create a new file in Affinity Photo and export it as a template and save it on the desk top, whenever I go to open the new saved file fron the desktop it wont let me. Seems to be only files ending in .aftemplate are affected.

Anyone else having this problem. It is happening right across Affinity Suite since updating Affinity Software.
