Hi all.
 
Is there an effects option that I'm missing for fonts? Like in Illustrator you can bloat, pucker, fish eye, etc. your font.  I'm trying to achieve the attached. Sorry technical words are not coming to me at this moment.
 
 

Could you add the ability to stack effects? For example I would like to add to a one shape two outer shadows but with different colours and options like opacity so that they "intertwine" one through another.

Made a pretty cool flat landscape wallpaper, do you like it? 
Dont wonder about the size i have as a wallpaper on my two screens (2 x 4k)

Affinity Photo for Windows 1.6.0 is now live.
 
We are pleased to announce the first update for Affinity Photo for Windows (version 1.5.2).
 
The update can be downloaded from here. Once downloaded, close Affinity Photo and run (double click) the downloaded EXE to install it.
 
A list of the fixes this release contains is being prepared and will be posted shortly.
 
To install this version you will need to have the Affinity Photo for Windows already installed OR you will need to type in your email address and a valid Product key when prompted. When installing on top of an existing version you will not be prompted for the product key. If you need it you can find your product key (and a download button) in your Affinity store account, where you will also find the email address used to generate the key when you ordered the software. 
 
If you have installed any previous beta version of Affinity Photo 1.5.2, that beta can be safely uninstalled before or after installing this release update, they are independent installs. The beta will stop working soon anyway.
 
Please report any problems you have installing or using this new version in the Windows forum here

I am just starting to play around with the pencil, pen, and brush and noticed that the lines are smoothing. Do you plan on having a smoothing control for those tools? For drawing, this would be important not to have my lines straighten-out. 
Also,while going through the help menu I hit the back arrow in the upper left corner and it does not take me back to the page I entered from. Example, after selecting "About lines and shapes," I hit the back arrow and I don't return to were I can select "About lines and Shapes." I return to "Visual References."
On the positive note, I love the ability to be able to use vector and raster in the same software. That is an all in one drawing program.

UPDATE: Affinity Designer 1.5.3 is now available on the Mac App Store and fixes the problems described in this thread.
 
*** PLEASE NOTE *** We have just noticed a problem with the latest Mac AppStore Designer update (ver 1.5.2) and are working to resolve it have resolved it.
 
Running this update will reset any brushes, styles, text styles, swatches, keyboard shortcut customization and workspace layout you may have added.
 
We are extremely sorry about this and will have a fix available within the next 24 hours.
 
If you have installed the new update and have customised any settings then please don't run Designer until we have deployed a replacement update (Designer ver 1.5.3). 
 
Alternatively we have a workaround available to save the presets for those users that have updated but haven't opened the app yet.
 
Again, we are very sorry and will make sure this never happens again.

Still learning AP at the iPad and I discover a lot! But there are so many questions......
Anyway, sometimes a question solves itself by working and playing and if not, I'll search at this forum or I'll ask you guys. This fractal was a study to see what is possible with AP. I did figured out how to work with rectangle tools and the layers but not how to rotate and resize my layer in % so I did every layer with assessment. (At the iMac it is cntr/alt/cmd + T and set the % of height and rotation.)
