I think anyone can wait one or two hours before getting an answer about that. It's not a moderation issue or anything else.

Latté anyone? Curious to see if I could realistically replicate latté-art. Created with Designer v2.3.1.

I recently illustrated a Zebra Swallowtail Butterfly (Protographium marcellus) for my brother. He wanted a photo, which I did not have, so I decided to create an illustration for him instead. I used AD v2.31., but spent a lot of time in the Pixel Persona. I also made a few trips to Affinity Photo for a few features that AD does not support. Hope you like it.

    Hi @nomi02118,
Are you able to upload a couple of the problematic Affinity files one from your earlier post with the dragons and your latest post with the pet store so we can take a closer look?

    Hi @nomi02118,
I believe the issue you're seeing is a known bug though I'll have to see if I can locate the original bug report.
The only area affected when I try exporting your file is the 'black stroke on the board'. I'm not seeing any issues with the named colours or associated arrows as shown in your original screen grabs.
The distortion appears to affect anything that falls outside the 'board's' bounding box when warped which the stroke effectively does...
As a workaround, I've duplicated the 'board layer' so it sits below the 'board', given it no fill and no stroke and then enlarged the empty layer proportionally so that the black stroke for the board itself sits inside the overall objects bounding box when the perspective warp is applied...
I've labelled the new layer in green in the attached file.
This then appears to export without issue, let us know if it does for you as well. I appreciate this is not an ideal solution but hopefully, it will give you a workaround for that series of illustrations until the issue is fixed...

That makes sense as a temporary solution. It also makes sense why it's happening in some of other cases possibly. It was working OK for awhile which is why it was so weird to me!

    Merci!

The Frame Text Tool in Affinity products is great for large amounts of text such as paragraphs. This video is relevant for Affinity Designer, Publisher, and Photo. However, Publisher has a few extra special features that we’ll cover.

Not sure if anyone is interested but I thought I might show part of the vector image overlaid on the original concept sketch. Shows how things get invariably moved around once I get a better idea of how things are looking.

My brother bought a new place and requested I make him a poster on human evolution using the skulls. It took a while to research and decide what would work and to weed through alternative ways to present to timeline. The images were draw  in AP and it was set up in Apub.  The illustrations separately are on 15x15" canvases and the printed poster will be 12x18".

    Hi everybody 🙂

After recently buying all 3 of the Affinity programs, this was the 3rd thing I made with Affinity Designer. The other 2 were a Christmas post and a new years post for Instagram. My first impression of AD is that it has potential, but to me it still has a long way to go if it wants to compete with Adobe Illustrator. But of course, it's very difficult to get to the Adobe level, since they have so much experience and money 😅

I bought the Affinity programs to hopefully get less dependent on Adobe software, because I really don't like the 'subscription only' principle Adobe has adopted. I don't like to pay Adobe 'ransom money' to be able to have access to my own documents. And since using Adobe Creative Cloud I've had several bugs that have never been an issue back when I had Adobe software that I bought. So even Adobe isn't as good (anymore) as it should be for that price.

Most of the things I design are T-shirt prints for my webshops and since I'm addicted to designing letters (typography) most of my designs contain custom made text. This 'L' was made for Instagram only. From time to time I design single alphabet letters, to have something more to post on Instagram. I post far less than the algorithm wants, but I don't want to be a slave to the algorithm, so I follow my own rithm 😋

Is anyone else into designing typography?

    ✌️ Luc

I have been drawing acrobats for maybe 15 years now using different techniques and with quite a few different apps including the serif apps. I decided to go back to my old draw everything in greyscale layers then recolour and add more detail on top of that since i have never tried that in Photo on the iPad and went nicely.

The Green Eye of the Yellow God, aka The Green Eye of the Little Yellow God, is a dramatic monologue written in 1910 by J Milton Hayes. Despite one or two comic parodies, it's still a Ripping Yarn if delivered straight; you can look up the words, or a recitation on YouTube. Meanwhile, I thought it would make a good subject for a 1960s-style pulp paperback cover (though it would be a very short book, as it will fit on a single page).
Made in Designer, with a couple of pixel texture layers.

@nomi02118 Just some extra little ‘nit-picks’, all in the cause of getting it right before printing:
sometimes you use .xx (without the leading zero) but one time you use 0.xx (with a leading zero); mostly there is a space before the dash in the 'date range' but in “500- 25” there isn’t one; The names of “Homo Gautengensis” and “Home Antecessor” aren’t lined up with the other names on the right-hand side (or visa versa). The kerning of the title looks a bit ‘off’ to me (e.g. too much space between U and M, etc.), but that could just be me. Great poster by the way, I just think it could be tweaked a little to make it even better.
