With Premiere and Final Cut there is a "paste special/attributes" function where you can choose which effects you want to paste afterward. Why not something similar?

At least it would be great to have an Affinity format import plugin in After Effects as Illustrator.

Align nodes is really important indeed, I hope it will be soon implemented.

I'm new to affinity designer and couldn't help noticing there is no scale tool.

Yes, you can scale an objetc from its corners and all that but if I want a part of a shape to be scaled down I cant.

So a simple shape like the one I'm attaching is much harder to achieve in affinity. The stroke wont round one of the edges and as there is no scale tool I can't select the 3 points of the shape to scale down and simulate a stroke with pressure.

    Hi msuhr,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
We already have some requests for this. The ability to scale/rotate nodes should be implemented at some point in a future version/update.

Really would like to see a better layer identifying system in terms of color differentiation. I know there sort of is but its a conditional approach. Not across the board. Would really help easily find thing on the layers panel.

The Eyedropper could be indeed much more improved. Affinity only grabs the color while in Illustrator/inDesign it's way more powerful and useful, you can grab everything, you just need to press the "shift" key to only grab the color and with the "alt" key you can reuse what you grabbed on other objects, the workflow is much more streamlined.

If you mean snapping objects so that they have equal spacing, Affinity has had this for a long time.

There is indeed a real consumer demand for an alternative to After Effects especially for Motion Graphics type of job (for editing and compositing there are a lot of options). A lot of pros tired of AE.

A great feature with Illustrator (and Cinema 4D too) is the ability to interactively manipulate individual characters (eg. size, kerning, rotation...). It would be great to have a such feature across all your apps.

    Great work, keep on going!

I think the best way this has been done is in PS.

With brush tool selected, option+control+drag left to right to resize or up and down to adjust hardness with onscreen feedback. Perfect!
