  1. Hi^^ i tried the search forums option ("too bright", etc.) and couldnt find anythig, so i hope you bear with me here :). Please see the attached photo. I want to reduce the bright parts without losing too much of the object itself (tried several filters, the burn sponge tool (shadows) and some of the correction options of the photo itself (tonal,...)) but obviously im too noob^^ to get any satisfying results with Affinity Photo (i remember years ago, using PS, there was a simple light/shadow-correction or s.th. like that). so, if anyone could please point me in some direction how to do it :)....
  2. but it will hopefully be considered by the AP-team? really want to get away from PS for good.....
  3. Hi... two things im missing or havent found yet: the option for closing all open documents at once, instead closing one after another (ctrl+w). and, when im dragging image-files from e.g. the explorer (image-directory) - using win10 - and there are already images/documents opened in AP, the new ones will be layer-added to the actual document, instead of generating new documents. that always makes me angry.....
  4. hm, and again, its not working? there s a template i use, only one layer is being edited, mainly by putting a new gfx. in it.....and this new gfx. could have some black background which i want to "magic wand" and delete .... it doesnt work, i can click so many times on the black area, nothing happens (no ant-feet, no selection shows up). the correct layer IS selected in the layer-overview. i dont understand the mechanics with this.....why it doesnt show anything that is.... edit: pix-example: see attached. black shape should be erased....
  5. duh.....i tried this one and it did nothing on the image's background i had opened.....hm, tried again seconds ago (on another pic) and it worked, lol, but thanks a lot anyway^^
  6. hi, where to find this in AP? im lost actually (using newest version).
  7. yeah, thats what im doing atm and its really bothering me. opening at least 15+ photos and arranging them again and again.....aaaah. well, thx. anyway for the quick reply^^
  8. cool, thx. for the fast response! ill try that and get back here if more questions occur^^
  9. Hi^^ im still new to AP (coming from PS) and here s a thing id like to know: are there "actions" in AP, too? Like a script/macro.... e.g. several photos are opened in AP, now every photo should be worked-over the same way (english isnt the mother-tongue, so im digging deep for right vocabulary here, lol, hope you guys get what i mean), like: "use auto-tone", "change seize to x/y", save (export) as "name [X]" (X = 1, 2, 3, 4,...) for every image opened. thx.^^
  10. Hi^^ as a newbie to AP im still struggleing with old habits from PS and so ive got several questions for a more easy using of AP :) 1) i like to open several images at once, which works fine, but they are unsorted (from left to right) and i like them to be sorted (ascending)^^. most photos are numbered (e.g. img1, img2, img3), but they are opened in AP quite wildly....(e.g. img2, img10, img3, img4, img7, img1, ....)! how can i sort them in AP (like "sort documents by...") or even better, open them in wished order!? In PS they were opened one after the other (img1, img2, img3). most photos were taken in a specific order, so thats quite important to me having them in the right order opened in AP (PS) for an easier work-flow. thx.
