Giving some more thought to short cuts. Don't you think it would be a good idea not to make two short cut keys next to each other? I can understand that it makes sense to using a second key with a letter that may be the initial letter for an action but that isn't going to work every time as short cuts increase. Obviously if there are very many new shortcuts then what I'm suggesting will have its eventual limitations.

This doesn't sound very good because it is too easy to do accidentally. It makes more sense if you want to change opacity that is should be a deliberate action unless a shortcut is used which usually mean using two keys - a very deliberate action. Having said that I often close down my Studio by accidentally pressing 'cmd shift H' instead of 'cmd shift G' for un-grouping objects.

However this brings up another question. I often find the an object will have an unwanted, less than 100% opacity, applied to it. It seems to happen randomly and I've never figured out why. Could I be hitting something accidentally? To change opacity takes a deliberate action and I can't see how you can do it accidentally.

On my computer both the layers and the colour opacity show 100%. This was the first thing I checked when I found the problem and the problem is still there. See my screen shot.

Could this be a AD consistency problem? When I select File>Open I get a window that I can expand by click the 'Open' bar at the top of the window. However if I click on the 'Place image tool' in the Tool bar I get a window that I can only expand by dragging the bottom right corner. It would be easier if all window could be expanded by clicking the Open bar.

I'm sorry about this but I cannot remember which file I was working on. Is there any way for you to interrogate the crash report to see which file it was? If the problem crops up again I will make sure I attache the file.

One of the annoying things about setting a stroke width is that if you don't select all the numbers in the box to remove them then you get the wrong stroke width and have to do it again. Clicking the box shows the cursor and then you have to 'swipe' it over all the numbers making sure you have selected all of them. It would be useful if you merely had to click on the width box to select all the numbers and just type in the new width. This is how the 'Text Height' selection box works.

I was using the Unsharp mask filter at 100% image size. I ten chose Split view to compare the result with the original and it then crashed. I reopened the Autosaved image but cannot go back to use Unsharp mask as it is greyed out. I have other images also opened and there was no problem using Unsharp mask on them and the split screen worked OK

What I haven't been saying is that it AD Beta. I saved and closed the 'Artefact' file in preparation for closing the app and then was offered to open a recovery file! I clicked open recovery file to see what would happen and was told the file was open in another application which it isn't. I clicked OK. I then closed down AD and reopened. I then opned the Artefact file and cliicked using the mouse wheel the Artefact has gone?

When I reopned the file there was nothing but as soon as I clicked using the mouse button it appeared. See screen shot.

How do I get rid of this size artefact? Artefact.afdesign

Was this a bug? In this particular document I had been using all manner of pressure profiles. Each time I drew a new object it assumed a 'Reset' pressure profile which is what I wanted each time. I then applied whatever profile I needed to that object. To me this seems to be a normal way of working.

I have just downloaded the latest AD Beta and every time I draw a line using the Pen tool it takes on a pressure profile. I tried creating a a Style but it makes no difference. How do I stop this happening?

Thanks for reminding me! I have been told this before but forgot about it .

Is it possible to set the document size to say mm and the stroke thickness to points?

OK MEB thanks. That's what I'm doing at the moment. What is a nuisance is that I can only save the pressure profile in a given document. It would be useful to be able to save them for all docs.

Could this be why it wasn't working - I cannot save a line style that has a pressure profile. Is this correct?

I have created a new Styles Category and added one line thickness. How do create another icon for the next line thickness?

This dark grey background is a real nuisance! They are not easy to see
