  1. Years ago I stopped watching TV and films put out by the controlled media of Hollywood and governments and their agencies because I no longer want to be brainwashed by them. This has given me a lot of extra time to be able to THINK and not strangled by wall-to-wall TV, sports and entertainment! When you start thinking again that's when you see just exactly what kind world you are living in! Filter .afdesign
  2. The West has been brainwashed for decades over just about everything by Hollywood, the media, governments and big multinational corporations so there is likely to be some truth in references to psychology and the CANVA takeover.
  3. I'm afraid that I can't remember what I was doing at that time except that I was working on the same drawing. I have been away since then until today when I hope to pick-up on the drawing again. If the crash happens again I will make a note of what I was doing at the time.
  4. Here are the reports: Affinity Designer 2 Affinity Store-2024-03-29-182903.ips Affinity Designer 2 Affinity Store-2024-03-29-191533.ips Affinity Designer 2 Affinity Store-2024-03-30-140559.ips Affinity Designer 2 Affinity Store-2024-03-30-140807.ips AuthenticationServicesAgent-2024-03-29-075716.ips
  5. ADV2 has crashed on me about 5 times in 2 days!
  6. Agreed and once you know, you can walk if you want to.
  7. Hi Alfred, The email address failed! Have I got this right?
  8. I have been sent a 'Spp file that I cannot open. I believe that it was the format PhotoPlus. Is it possible for me to upload the file to someone who may still use the old PhotoPlus app and export it back to me in an ADV2 compatible format?
  9. Well said! This is going to be a difficult criticism to refute!
  10. For years I have asked Serif why DrawPlus was better, for me that is, than AD? DP had more drawing features then than AD has now! All I got in response was DP was old and not a platform that was compatible with modern OS. Basically what they were saying was that the new way of doing things was not going to be as good as the old way! Isn't this called 'dumbing down'?
  11. I have had a quick look at VectorStyler and I think you may be right. I will check it out further.
  12. Looks like I opened a can of worms with my CANVA posting!
  13. Hooray! With the extra resources now available to Serif perhaps the developers will be able to stop the nodes and handles of object disappearing when you move a guide and also develop a perspective drawing feature.
  14. I am requesting locking/pinning nodes as a new feature.
  15. I hadn't formally requested any kind of new feature - I was just finding out what might be possible. I will now request it to the dustbin of 'New Features'.
  16. I couldn't find anything on the Affinity help page for 'Pinning a node'. Can you explain please?
  17. A Very good question Gary! It would lock to another node. Unfortunately I didn't anticipate this question and therefore did not place a node on the horizontal line coincident with B.
  18. Thanks but I did know that. What I didn't say was if I accidentally clicked on the stroke rather than the node I could move the whole stroke! I suppose what I'm asking for is a way to superglue the node/end of the stroke to position B on the other stroke. Too much to ask for? Jack
  19. Thank you but that's not what I was asking. I want to be able to lock node B so that I don't accidentally move it. Its important that B stays located at that point on the horizontal line.
  20. Yes indeed. Its my age! File now attached. Locking Nodes .afdesign
  21. Is it possible to lock a node? In my attached File I would like to be able to move node 'A' without accidentally moving node 'B' Is there a way for me to lock node 'B'? This is useful when drawing in perspective from vanishing points which are likely to be well off screen view.
  22. I think changing the dpi value may be the answer. I will try this out later. Thanks thamaso.
