  1. I rermeber a feature in DrawPlus where you could 'morph' a shape into another shape and indicate the number of steps. I used this to produce line shading for a flat surface in perspective i.e. the lines converge. DrawPlus had a lot of good features that need to be included in AD.
  2. The method I currently use is to use 'alt' and drag 2 or 3 copies then select all and 'alt' and drag and do again as many times as you need. Doing it this way creates extra copies almost exponentially!
  3. Alfred replied to my question regarding making multiple copies of objects: 'There is currently no ‘Replicate’ command which would allow the user to specify a number of copies.' May I suggest that one is created. This could be very useful feature especially when used with the alignment tool.
  4. Is there a way of copying an object multiple times without having to do it one by one?
  5. Thanks for the info but supposing the image to be printed is just a photo. It is still worth saving it as a pdf?
  6. That's what I mean! For printing I really ought to work in CMYK rather than RGB.
  7. Thanks Alfred. What I meant was what is the best may to save the jpeg to get the best colour. I suppose it would be to do with the way I have set up my Preferences.
  8. What would be the best way to save a jpeg file generated on a Mac AD for subsequent reproduction on a commercial ink jet printer?
  9. I discovered that when opening a new document I get the subdude colour wheel if I select 'Type: Print (press ready) I think this is where I went wrong!
  10. My apologies. What I meant was I use the grey colour swatch as well as the colour wheel. I checked by opening a new document and it defaulted to the subdude colour wheel. Presumably this means, somehow, my settings were changed. How do I get back?
  11. Yes I always work using the grey scale but at the same time I have the default colour wheel always in view. This only happened today. I did use the eye dropper to sample a grey that was on a photograph that I wanted to match. However this is something I regularly do.
  12. Suddenly the colour wheel has changed to very greyish colours. How do I get back to the default colour wheel?
  13. Is there a way of making the Pen Tool always default to 'Line"?
  14. One further comment and that Guide lines do not show up on the background. I get round it by drawing a line on the guide line.
  15. Thanks for that. I also made the background almost white to see the lines easier.
  16. I'm starting to use Artboards for the first time. I find the AD tutorials not very helpful. All I want to do is create a background area behind my document where I can draw extended construction lines for perspective work. Also I may also want to edit the artboard size. Can someone spoonfeed me please?
  17. That is embarrassing not to have realised that! Looks like my original question opened a can of worms so to speak about menu actions.
  18. Hi MEB, If I want to align a number of objects spaced equally horizontally and centrally I go to Layer>Alignment> Distribute horizontally which then disappears. I then have to go back to Layer>Alignment>Align centre. I would like to see the Layers menu stay open until all alignment selections have been made and the it can be closed by clicking on background. this could well apply to other menus that offer multiple choices that can be selected simultaneously.
  19. One of the really useful features that would benefit AD or any AD product would be for a drop down menu to stay in view until finished with. By this I mean that multiple choices can be made in the same drop down menu and daughter menus but they always close when a selection has been made. I would like to see all menus close by clicking off the menu on the background. Has this been suggested before?
