  1. Yes I suppose I could have done but why would I not expect a second line to do the same thing? I tried deselecting and re-selecting several times but to no avail. I suppose its to do with whether I think AD is reliable enough or not. However next time I will repeat ,whatever it is I'm having a problem with, several times to give AD the benefit of the doubt.
  2. I wasn't being 'Willfully' ignorant' as I didn't know what was happening and then tried drawing a second line AFTER reading your comment! Also what rules are you talking about?
  3. I drew another pencil line and it worked. I've no idea why it didn't work the first time.
  4. Having used the Pencil tool to draw a line I am unable to apply a Pressure profile to it although I can do it to a line drawn with the Pen tool. Why is this?
  5. Thank you Walt. I've changed my snapping options as you suggested.
  6. I have a vector drawing and when I past into a new document I cannot zero one edge of the vector drawing to the pixel grid. I cannot nudge it to snap. If you zoom-in you will see what I mean. How do I do that? Pixel grid.afdesign
  7. I switched on my Mac this morning and when I loaded ADV2 it gave me a screen which hid my Mac Dock. Also the usual top line with the AD icon on the left, with file, edit etc is also hidden. How do I bring them both back into view? This only happened when I switched on this morning.
  8. Its interesting that I haven't had the problem before so why does the 'bug' appear now? Do bugs evolve?
  9. For some reason or other when I select the rounded corner rectangle it will only give me a square corner rectangle. I closed down ADV2 hoping that would correct it but after reopening AD the problem is still there.
  10. You may be 'just saying' but well done! You have just given Serif a great reason for closing down this forum for being full of 'Pretty small problems' when there are much more serious problems in the world! Back to the thread - I know I have mentioned it before but I don't always take the first 'NO' for an answer! Why remove something that worked in order to get users to have to create a work-around to do the same thing? I kn
  11. Sorry I cannot accept as a good excuse. It was OK in DV1 so why change it?
  12. My answer to a list getting longer because of newer standard sizes and then improved it by removing that which previous was needed but now has become superfluous, is 'rationalization'. This is not the same as removing something that was previously needed. I can understand rationalizing a list of paper sizes that include sizes which are considered no longer standard. 'Foolscap' being a good example.
  13. Let's take my argument a little further. When something is improved it usually has something added to it whether another part or feature or an improvement to that which is already existing but taking something away that was previously necessary is not an improvement its a digression.
  14. Well said! I wonder how many of them know anything about graphics from a basic and first principles level!
  15. That's another problem icons are not plainly visible in whatever mode you are in. Why must they always be grey on grey? For ease of use the more contrast there is the better. However it may not be aesthetically pleasing but we must bow down to that! Will we ever get back to a time when the obvious was obvious?
  16. With respect Walt, that's a pretty lame excuse! I get the impression that the developers live in a world of their own with only minimal acknowledgement to users needs.
  17. This is exactly what I've been saying for years about why bounding box handles disappear when moving a guide. There just seems to be no reason to do it.
  18. That was a year ago! I believe we have had 2 updates since then!
  19. I'm sure there are several work-arounds but why are they necessary in the first place? Who made the decision to change it for ADV2 and why?
  20. Can anyone tell me why in ADV1 ypu could choose a document size from one list all the way up to A0 yet in ADV2 you can only go up to A3 and then once you have the A3 doc size you are then offered the same list as in ADV1 to choose a larger size? Also why did the developers think that changing it was a good move?
  21. When a file is saved does its History get saved as well? If the file is opened and the History is empty how would that have happened?
