Thanks for your reply. I am using Yosemite, the latest version, and yes Designer is set as the default option to open images even where images are saved as .....afphoto. I will open images using the right click option as you suggest until this matter is fixed.

Apologies, I might have missed something here, but I just edited an image in Photo, saved it to Desktop, then when I clicked on the image to reopen it it opened up in Affinity Designer ? Any ideas as to what is going on here please, Ade.

I just want to say that as a complete novice this software is simply superb, I appreciate its still early days re this beta (apparently), but the range of features, functionality, options, UI, and ease of use make this software a joy. I apologise for not being an expert user and for not knowing any technical terms but I am learning quickly. Thank you also to the many expert and very knowledgable users who are unknowingly helping me to improve and understand this software more and the techniques you use. I am trying out the latest updates to this beta - wow.

Same here, brushes have gone. Resetting does not work.

I dont understand what is being said here, the UI is superb to my eye, dark grey with some panels using a slightly lighter coloured grey. My popups come through as the same two colours as the main UI. Am i missing something here ? The only light greys i have come across are on the UI of this forum.

Congratulations on leaving Adobe. I have done exactly the same. The monthly rental pricing mechanism is a huge turn off. Thankfully Serif appear to have no intention of going down the subscription route, and continue to state this fact on these forums and elsewhere time and time again. Accordingly I will be buying this software as soon as it becomes publicly available for purchase with total confidence.
