AnthonyVeire reacted to Andrew Tang in Affinity TV - Beta Testers Required!
Out of interest, what advantages does it have over YouTube or Vimeo? I'm surprise its on there. Twitch TV is primarily used for Games - mainly live streaming and E-Sport. Creative work and tutorials is the last place I would expect that site to have. If you take a look at Twitch about page, their first line is:
'Twitch is the world’s leading social video platform and community for gamers.'
I would expect these contents to be available on Vimeo and YouTube though, not Twitch.
Edit: We do have our own channel page in a way. It's on Vimeo: https://vimeo.com/macaffinity/videos/

AnthonyVeire reacted to Mark Ingram in Affinity Designer Customer Beta - 1.6.0.72
Click here to download the latest beta
Status: Customer Beta
Purpose: New features
Requirements: A valid product key, issued when Windows Affinity Designer version 1.5 was purchased.
This is the second beta of a substantial change to our codebase and as much as we have tried to ensure the quality of the code, it is considered to be not suitable for production use. This means that you should not attempt to use it for commercial purposes or for any other activity that you may be adversely affected by the application failing. In addition it is definitely worth noting that files created in Affinity 1.6 may not open in 1.5 so always make a copy of your important documents before opening them in 1.6 to ensure you do not accidentally overwrite them and are unable to open them in your 1.5 version.
We hope you enjoy the latest build, and as always, if you've got any problems, please don't hesitate to post here and we'll get back to you as soon as we can. Thanks once again for your continued feedback.
If you have a general question about the software, please head over to the Questions Forum, or if you have any suggestions, please head over to the Feature Requests forum.

this is a request for Apple and not fo Affinity team. :)
Apple "don't" allow you to manager your contents without specific tools. this is the most important difference between Apple and the rest of the tech world

AnthonyVeire reacted to retrograde in Purple Heart
Hey all, here's the latest piece I've just finished in 1.6 b1.
It's a fun and colourful graphic Heart illo I'm selling on Redbubble (shameless plug). ;-) Yes I know it's pink but purple heart sounds better.
It's basically all line work with some filled in shapes but it's really the first time I've done a piece like this in Designer using the path or stroke pressure feature pretty much exclusively. It takes a little getting used to but it ended up feeling really nice and comfortable and kinda slick as compared to illustrator's method.
Gotta say though, the expand stroke nodes situation is still a major issue for me as I usually expand and unite everything to make a watertight piece. It almost forced me to abandon Designer for this and jump back to illustrator. But I stuck with it and I'm happy with the final product.
Here's a link to my Redbubble page showing it on various products. The bold colour and linework really pops.

Would it be possible to offer the written help chapters in AP as _one_ printable document while we wait for a handbook?

AnthonyVeire reacted to Samoreen in Keyboard Shortcuts Cheat Sheet for Affinity Tools!
Hi,
It's probably a font issue. When converting the PDF to a Doc file using the online Nitro converter, the font is replaced, probably because the original font cannot be found. Since the document has been created with Affinity Designer, it probably uses a font installed by Affinity Designer.
My two cents...
