For example, whenever I select the tool to crop, I always get the same settings: mode: Unconstrained, Overlay: grid, Darken Mode (off).
It would be faster if it always opened with the last selected options, for example, Original ration and always have Darken Mode.

Hi rzozaya1969,
Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
This was a design choice. There's also a few programs that work the same way as ours. Save As is reserved to save files on Affinity's native file format, while export is used to export to generic/non-native file formats.
I understand that. But I just feel that it's like being moved to push your format for most time. But the program is fine, I think it's great for a 1.5 version, it would be great to see what comes next!
Also, I'm using XNView as a browser, what I miss is that, when I modify a pic, and select export, the destination folder is different than what I used to open the file. Is it because my viewer isn't passing the directory tree? I think that if I just save it, it uses the right one, but if not, then it's a PITA finding the correct directory to store the images.

I think that the File Save As dialog should work as the export. The user should be able to select the filename, and then which file type to export from the same dialog, instead of having to use it from another option. All the other photo editing apps work this way, at least Photoshop and PaintShop Pro.

It would be nice to have a Flatten Image option. If there is, I haven't found it.
