  1. well, "SOON" is a very stretchable definition 😉 but version 1.9 isn't far away from 2.0, isn't it.

    but as i said before, I am very happy that they offer us a superb software for a reasonable price and  I don't want to forbid anyone to take the offer.

    Don't forget, i'm a BIG fan of serif.

    as I am a licensed user of AP I’m not concerned. But if I had no license yet I think I would not take the offer of buying AP at 50%.

    Why?

    Well, I think soon the version 2.0 will arrive and then I just paid 28€ for a license and then I have to pay again the upgrade fee, maybe in total it is more than the 100% price?

    But nevertheless, this is no critics on serif, it’s a business and they have to pay their programmers. I am very happy that they offer us a superb software for a reasonable price already.

    when i copy from a pic with 300 dpi, after pasting from clipboard the new pic has always 96 dpi

    isn't it possible that when i select a piece from the image, copy it and paste from clipboard that the new pasted image has the same dpi as the original where i copied from automatically?

  4. well, as i ordered the book in german everybody at serif said the book will be delivered "probably" very soon., today i visited amazon.de to see if the book was already available there. and unfortunately it is not available before december 22th. and i assume if they can't make it, then serif can't make it neither. so my christmas present wouldn't be here in time. so i cancelled my order today and got refunded. (txs to adam) i will try it again in the new year but then directly from amazon. at least they can give you a shipping date. too bad it all went this way. i hope serif will make changes at their ordering system.

    Orders placed right now for the Affinity Photo Workbook in German are completing quickly, and being dispatched. We only have a problem with some orders placed on 23/24th Nov, which we are still struggling to fulfil for horribly technical reasons, but we will have them dispatched also as soon as we can.

    hi patrick, yes it was a strange thing to happen. i'm asking myself if my kaspersky internet security programm has anything to do with this behaviour? as i logged in into my serif account and ordered the book and then clicked on paying with paypal there was another browser tab opening with the kaspersky safe pay program. there i paid the book and it said it was ok. maybe that this was the problem??? maybe other users that have issues with the ordering have kaspersky too??

    and yes , i'm still interested in the book but in amazon nor the english or german version are available. is the german book already available when buying at serif? of is there a long waiting for delivery? as some other customers here mentioned?

    as far as i know it is not possible to order with the fault email adress because i had to log in into my AP account using the right email address.

    finally someone of you guy mailed me to ask about the order number to check

  8. hi, i ordered the workbook in german last saturday. i never received any kind of confirmation from serif, the only confirmation i got is one from  paypal to pay.

    i already wrote the affinityorders@serif.com twice but never got an answer. i hope i don't have to wait to longfor this one. and no, it is not metioned in my order summary

    this is really too bad  >:(

     

  9. Hello affinity users,

     

    I'm new in this forum as well as a user of Affinity Photo. As you can see in my name i come from Belgium. So if i ask you guys for help, please don't look for errors in my english. I do my very best :)

     

    So here i am with my first question,

     

    When i want to open dng files with AP it takes a very long time to open. with my former software (LR) it open very quickly. is this something that will become better in future versions?
