Yes - if you already have the MSIX installed, it'll prompt you to update and perform the update in-app. There's no need for you to change anything 🙂

Hi,
I totally agree!
Windows users are not like Apple users, they need to see under the hood and the "WindowsApps" folder is not accessible even as an admin. My few useful programs are accessible by shortcuts and there, it's impossible.
I also ask for the return of ".exe" files

I agree, delivering the suite as "Windows Apps" and not normal ".exe"-applications is extremely customer and user unfriendly. Not even Adobe dared to take this tainted path.
It rips off all the control the user have about their PC and the programs and makes things unnecessarily complicated.
I'm very disappointed.

laurentia reacted to LuBre in Affinity Photo Windows Customer Beta - 1.9.4.1048
Added 'Limit Initial It works, but only on the first image. If you open a second (small) image it will still get zoomed to fullscreen.
There is also a noticeable "flash" effect as if the image was first @ full width and then rapidly resized to 100%. Can it be avoided?

laurentia reacted to Michail in Affinity Photo Windows Customer Beta - 1.9.4.1048
I can confirm that only the first opened image is zoomed to 100%. Also, I suggest this option as a default option. What is the point of having a small image blown up to the entire display area? The first thing I always have to do is zoom the image to 100%.

laurentia reacted to Michail in "Limit initial zoom to a maximum of 100%" option, only works on first opened document
I had already written it in another place: I suggest to set this option as default. What is the point of having a small image enlarged to the entire display area when it is opened? The first thing I always have to do is zoom the image to 100%.

Hi,
great news if you use the Nik collection by DxO 2.3 : Viveza 2 works fine : https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/79748-color-problem-with-nik-collection-plugins/&page=4&tab=comments#comment-553503

laurentia got a reaction from Mark Ingram in Color problem with Nik Collection plugins
Hi.
I had not looked for lack of time yet, but I confirm that since the update of the suite Nik by DxO 2.3, the call of Viveza 2 since Affinity Photo beta 486 works perfectly with a zoom factor of 20% and 100% at home.
I specify that I use a color workspace 4 times larger than the sRGB.

Hi,
the issue of colour profile is well fixed for DFine 2 (many thanks for that!), but it still does not work for Viveza 2.

Hi juliep,
I'm currently investigating this. I don't have much to tell you at the moment I'm afraid but once I know more I'll report back. Sorry about the radio silence from us.

laurentia got a reaction from Arba in AP Beta 1.8.0.486 lens profile missing
Hi Julie,
Unfortunately, I do not have good news for you ...
I tried with your photo without result. Then I tried to reproduce the issue with one of my lenses that does not appear in the lensfun database, a Nikkor 28-105 AFD zoom. I get exactly the same problem as you (with darktable using the same lensfun file, I could recognize it)!
I deduce that this procedure is inoperative on Windows, the video being made with Mac OS.
At this point, only a developer can trace the problem.
It should also be known that the maintainer of the lensfun base has big problems of disponibility and because of this, lensfun is updated with big delays and the procedure is quite forbidding.
In addition, in lensfun, your Sigma lens has been tested with a Sony and not a Canon. The APSC crop factor for Canon is 1.6 while it is 1.5 for other brands. As a result, the distortion values would be a bit distorted. There is also a conflict in your image at the level of the exifs and the maker notes, in these last appears the zoom 75-300 Canon while it is the Sigma which appears in the exifs ...
Sorry for not being able to help you ... the hand is to the developers.

Hi,
what version of lensfun did you download?
Are you sure your 18-300 sigma lens is in the slr-sigma-xml file?
I see it in the latest version of lensfun 0.3.95 downloaded from the site lensfun and not that of github.

I confirm that the colors are not the right ones in Viveza 2. But it's strange because in the magnifying glass they are correct, as you can see on the screenshot.

Hi, I'm glad Dfine 2 is working for you. Are you sure about Viveza 2? I just tried it here and it correctly shows the profiled colours. I did notice an issue with resizing the plugin window smaller (the preview becomes desaturated) which I'll investigate, but the colour profile was still applied correctly.

Hi all, just to let you know, I'm now in contact with DxO. Hopefully between us we can sort some of these issues out.

Please have some trust. Affinity reached out a support question to DxO.
It works within Adobe Photoshop, lightroom, Adobe elements and by image export from Nikon capture NX-D.
Also, once a Tiff is exported from Affinity and loaded into vivenza it works w/o issues.
I've good trust Affinity will solve it if DxO is willing to support. Both can benefit from it.
There are more (general) Photoshop plug-in that suddenly might start working if this issue is solved.
If the plug-ins really start working, Adobe might get an issue, because this currently holds a lot of Adobe users to Adobe.
Second part is the color card checker support. But this is another topic on the wish list.
"x rite colorchecker" (lightroom plugin)
