  1. Hi WMax70. In fact, I tested an image of D800 in sRGB jpeg and I have the same desaturation in Viveza 2 ... but I saw on the contrary a super saturation of the same image in DFine 2 ... It's correct in Color Efex 4. Despite this, there is no question of converting to sRGB in the processing flow. sRGB conversion is done at the end of the processing for the web outputs.
  2. Hi, sorry Mark, but if the first issue is fixed in the 256, the second is not ... it's even worse than with the 251 ...
  3. There is at least Photoshop and darktable ... Note that the LZW compression of a 16-bit image frequently generates a larger file than the same image without compression ... in this case, ZIP compression is preferable. On the darktable screenshot, deflate means ZIP compression.
  4. You're welcome ! This is a problem that should affect some other users.
  5. Sorry Mark, but we did not understand each other! Everything is removed, but the problem is that in this case and in this case only, exiftool is not reinstalled. This is a bug in the update process. Take the test yourself: - uninstall the current beta, -make a clean installation of a previous beta (243 for example), - replace the exiftool in the Resources folder with the latest version 11.29, - double-click on the beta 251 installer and click on the update button, -when it's finished, go back to the Resources folder of the new beta: exiftool is not there! As I said, it's reproductible.
  6. Hi Mark, I think I understood the problem regarding the non-installation of exiftool by the beta ... This happens if we have manually updated exiftool. I just did the test with a clean install of the beta 243 on which I manually updated exiftool with the latest 11.29 version. I then updated with beta 251. In this case, the updating process removes everything but does not reinstall exiftool! It's reproducible. Other programs use exiftool like Photomatix and Geosetter for example. Geosetter includes an exiftool update process that starts at launch ... For the Panlumix's problem, I think that AF Photo does not correctly decode the information provided by exiftool ...
  7. Hi, sorry, but I have two machines on which I installed the beta and neither came with exiftool ... I just put it on one of them to check this problem.
  8. Hi, it's easy to update exiftool here : https://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/ what is strange is that the final version 1.6.5 came with exiftool ... anyway, I do not remember having put it there before ...
  9. Unfortunately, no change with the new beta 251 ... Why does beta come without exiftool? Photo seems to need it because without him, it displays "no camera data" ...
  10. Hi Panlumix, Unlike the final version 1.6.5 that works correctly, I also have the problem with the beta 243 but the lack of data is mentioned in plain text! Aperture and shutter speed are not mentioned : Strangely, I get the same hex string as you when exiftool is present in the beta "Resources" directory!? And there, aperture and shutter speed are correct. Hope if this can help ...
  11. Hi sankos, glad to meet you here. Yes, you have been faster than me and unfortunately without more success ... I have to insist that I know some users who have given up Affinity Photo because of that! There is not a plethora of reasons for this problem : it is enough to display a picture defined in a very large and unspecified space in a smaller space: the desaturation is purely mechanical. This is typically a color management problem.
  12. Hi MEB, yes, I reported it in november 2017 ... Thanks for bumping this ! It's redibitory for some users ...
  13. Hi, this is an old problem still present : - image developed in Affinity Photo beta 243 and passed to Persona Photo, - Color Efex call by the filter menu, - the image appears desaturated in the Color Efex window without filter actived.
  14. Hi Julie, The latest Microsoft codec is here. But it is 5 years old ... I am using an old free version of FastPictureViewer codec pack (hard to find on the Internet) which still works very well with Windows 10 and for new cameras.
  15. Hi, I have a problem with a DNG from a scan. This DNG is correctly read by the final version 1.6.5, but the beta 1.7.0.243 reads only the low definition thumbnail. AF 1.6.5 opens the DNG in the develop persona module, and AF 1.7.0.243 opens the thumbnail embedded in the photo persona module. Both versions do not treat the same image in the same way. The test image is here.
  16. Hi, is the support of Wacom Inklink considered for Photo and Designer?
  17. Hi, The develop persona will work as a charm when the choice of camera profiles will be integrated. By the way, what news about the color bug with Nik Collection ?
