  1. Hands down one of my favourite things about Affinity was the clean export prompt that has the icons for each file format. I've always found it a joy to use. So when I purchased v2, I was disappointed to see this new less intuitive version. Is there anyway we can have the option to enable the old prompt? I appreciate some people may prefer the new one so giving the choice would be nice. Thank you
  2. Also from a product point of view it's better because all these neat things you can't see out of the box are not as hidden away as they currently are. I'm biased but my opinion is this is a no brainer, there is plenty of room on the bar to add it too.
  3. Hi MEB, Yeah I was aware of the shortcuts but I still think this is a worthwhile change. If there was some sort of "Studio manager" then a shortcut to that would make sense but there isn't. Thanks, Tim
  4. Hello, Something I think would be really useful and save a lot of time is to move the "Studio" item from "View" to its own parent item. It would make toggling things like Characters, Assets and Symbols much quicker for those that don't have them open all the time. I don't know about other people but I always felt it was not intuitive where it is. Thanks, Tim
  5. Many thanks for your comprehensive reply, as a developer myself I fully understand. It's a shame that the export persona doesn't do this as it'd be a very nifty little tool if it did. I was intending on only using the release candidate but I might consider using the beta for this export method you describe, just out of interest is there a new release coming soon? I see what you're saying with regards to Designer and Photo. It sounds like I might not have a use for Photo but I downloaded the beta anyway so will see if I can get some use out of it yet :)
  6. Hi, I searched Google for "Affinity Designer exporting to web graphics" and found nothing so thought I'd create a topic on here. So the thing I'm struggling to understand is you have your massively detailed vector graphics that don't strictly speaking have a pixel width and height. Then you want to get this lovely icon etc to a web sized PNG let's say 150x150 for arguments sake. So this is where I click the export persona and you can highlight the areas you want to export, which is fairly easy but the pixel are then being said to be 512x512px. I figured you can resize the vector and then go back to re-frame your slice, but what I can't get my head around is why I'm resizing my vector? I'd have thought you'd pick an area and then set the width and height you want the exported result? Maybe I'm misunderstanding something and need to change my initial document setup and workflow, can someone help explain? A side question, am I to believe Designer is for vector, pixel, print and web work? Photo is for editing photos and not strictly a Photoshop replacement, so you wouldn't use Photo for web design like you would Photoshop? Cheers guys.
