For me , it is essential to have an easy way to insert dimension lines (traits de cote, in French),
this is very easy in Corel Draw for instance (and I am sure a standard feature in anything dealing with architecture),
typically, you select 2 points, the distance (at the appropriate scale, this point being easy in Affinity) appears,
but then is inserted as a (2 pointed arrow) line in the document (usually , you can choose the distance between
the dimension line and the measured line for readability)
this is really something which would make my decision to buy the full suite

Hi dear Affinity Developer Team,
Now in Designer v2 when you do 'Convert to Curves', Move Tool is being changed to Node Tool automatically.
Earlier in v1 there was no such behaviour.

I do a huge amount of 'Converting to Curves' daily (without further purpose of editing nodes) and this constant switching to Node Tool hurts me workflow significantly. 
Is it possible to bring keeping selected Move Tool after 'Convert to Curves' back?
Or at least can you please make an according control/switch in Settings for turning off this 'changing to Node Tool' behaviour after 'Convert to Curves'?

Adjustment layers can be inserted in the layer menu. A dialog with the settings opens. Presets for the settings can be saved at the top right of the dialog. The presets can only be assigned via the settings panel. It would be much easier in the workflow to reload a saved preset in the adjustment layers dialog box. Please add a load preset next to the save preset. This opens the same menu that is also available in the adjustments. Yours

This is an old need, since the publisher beta version was released, almost 5 years ago, with 10 pages of comments here on the forum, how long will the affinity team ignore users on this issue?

I created this new topic so that the other one does not continue to be forgotten, since it is in the feedback archives of version 1, but it remains a necessity in version 2.
 
 

Version 1.8 of OpenType was released in 2016, it included Variable fonts. The feature is mature and widely used nowadays. 
It would be great to have support for variable fonts.

Could I please request that a hex value box be added to the swatches panel like you have done with the colour wheel. Currently if I want to grab the hex value of a swatch (which is quite often) I have to select the swatch > go to the colour menu (which defaults to the edit view - which is annoying) > Then I have to select colour wheel from top right menu.
It is a very verbose way to grab hex value. Can we just add it to the swatches panel.

Hi, this is my first topic here. After updating to version 2.2.1, programs start hundred times slower than before. Launched programs also work much slower. This is a huge problem for me. Can I go back to version 2.2.0?

Ill_Transform+cmd.mp4   Illustrator has a cool feature that when you enter any size into a field in the Transform panel, and then press enter with cmd/ctrl pressed, a temporary lock aspect ratio mode is enabled. It would be great to see such a feature in Affinity products as well. 
 
 

AdjustmentsLayers.mp4 It's great that adjustment layers allow you to create not-destructive art with the ability to have control at any stage. However, what is missing is the ability to apply these adjustment layers to get vector objects for export. 
For example, I have some vector complex image with many colours and I need to shift the colour tone of the drawing a bit. I can easily do this with a recolour adjustment layer, but after that it will no longer be possible to easily export the vector image. The ability to "bake" the colour change into vector objects without using rasterisation is required.
 

In the Vector Universe, that's what global colors are for.
The major downer here is that global colors don't work with gradients (yet). Serif needs to fix this first.

Pinning is great agt 300dpi. If at another DPI, however, every time you copy/paste something, even in the same document, the pins are scaled incorrectly. This gets frustrating fast, when you have to copy objects a lot, such as with assets. When pasting on non-300dpi, the offets are incorrect as well as the scale.

+1 for me.  Transform objects separately is a great feature that I just read about on this thread, but it resizes proportionately, and I would love to resize all to the dimension I type in the Transform text field.

I still love Affinity Suite 2, but ugh... the issues

1. FOUND IN:  Designer, Publisher, maybe in Photo as well.
the border around artboards/palettes/canvases/whatever you call it..
THIS DRIVES ME INSANE AS I NEVER KNOW IF the edge is showing an error from my work or the program is just not fully thought through...
NO BORDERS! EVER!

2. FOUND IN:  Designer, Publisher, maybe in Photo as well.
A. moving layers around with artboards being used.. the layers jump up and down the layer stack  and become auto grouped and or placed into artboards.   JUST STOP IT !
B. When moving multiple layers up and down in the layer panel using a mouse.. ,  ..there's too many issues to report this is excessively bugged.

3. Exporting  from the programs
Let us turn off the Export-panels' rendering preview!!!!!
I have huge EPS exports that cause my system to hang from your bad decisions!

I'd add more, but I doubt you'll even care about these.

I can no longer auto scroll layers when trying to move a layer in the layers panel. It just stopped working all of a sudden. Resetting Designer doesn't work. Also Auto Scroll is turned ON. Apparently in V1 there was an auto scroll option in settings, but in V2 that option has been removed. I've seen this topic addressed before, but no resolution yet.

Yes, transform each is a feature I miss from other A-software. Transform each/in place/separately would be very useful. It should regard groups as objects.

I have also been resizing hundreds of objects manually.    Often it is quicker to copy and paste the amended one to replace the originals...
