According to printers in Japan, regular western crop marks are inconvenient because they can't grasp bleeds intuitively at glance with it.
That's why Japanese style double crop mark exists.

Yes me too, I too asked Serif to add it a couple times before.
Even though Affinity is useless as publishing/printing software in Japan without vertical writing mode, there are still small things that can improve usability easily.

I'm happy to hear it, because that is precisely what I have been trying to do, working here in Japan for a Japanese company.  But despite my speaking in native English, my words in this forum are still largely ignored.  No action by Serif on this or most of my other feature requests.  It's very disappointing.  It wouldn't be if I had only yesterday or last week made the request, but many things I have mentioned were years ago.  5 YEARS since the start of this thread!  There's no excuse for not having implemented improvements to crop marks in that time.  None whatsoever.

Exactly what I have been saying, yet I am largely ignored by Serif.
(I've lived continuously here in Japan for more than 25 years.)

A Japanese printing company asking you to implement Japanese style crop mark that is effective to gain users in Japan.

Yes, but Lorox was correct that the currently stated system requirements are considerably less than the 1.7 GB each app consumes.

I would like Sreif to bring back "real" vector brush from DrawPlus to Affinity.
Affinity's vector brush is actually a raster brush stroke with a curve, pseudo vector brush.
Why this has been changed when Affinity was developed?

@Patrick Connor Please refer Illustrator's Paragraph panel also.
There is Kinsoku Set(line breaking rules) and Mojikumi Set(word spacing rules) that's important both of them.
You need to enable East Asian option in Preferences>Type to see this feature.
    Kinsoku Set

I´m using Affinity Designer on IPad Pro and had trouble exporting vectors so I can upload them to Shutterstock.
What I learned after a few trials and Errors:
    - Exporting as EPS lvl 3 will create an EPS that Shutterstock submission will accept
    - you´ve got to keep the requirement for Shutterstock EPS submission in mind (no gradients, no pixel/raster images, all shapes/vectors, no transparency and gradients etc)
    - if you add fonts, convert them to curves first

I tried and searched for quite a while there, until I "accidentally" stumbled upon it - also this forum helped.
So I want to share this useful piece of information to all folks who try to upload to Shutterstock and are supposedly stuck with Adobe Illustrator.
    Cheers!

All the code is in the one application, Publisher.
When you have, for example, Designer and Photo both running, you have two copies of the code in memory.

We don't know that 2.0 will follow 1.9.
At least once in the past Serif staff have referred to the possibility of 1.10, 1.11.
We also have no idea whether there will be an upgrade price, beyond the usual and likely short-term discount for all purchasers when a new major release is made available. And because Serif cannot offer such a discount to users who purchased version 1 from the Apple or Microsoft Stores, they may decide not to have one for anyone, to keep things fair to all users.
Basically no one knows right now, probably not even the Serif staff we usually interact with, and anything about version 2 is pure speculation in my opinion. We don't even know what the mix of applications for a version 2 might be, or what the feature partitioning might be between them.

But that explanation doesn't hold water when it comes to ctrl, alt, and shift specific commands that are used on Mac, yet they are different on Windows. Both OS:s have those keys so they should be the same, yet they aren't. Heck, Photoshop has alt+R click for changing brush size/hardness on Windows which is pretty close to ctrl+alt+R click, so don't tell me it can't be done for Windows.
Besides, the cmd key is barely used by any of the tools I have tried on Mac. It is primarily used for some menu shortcuts like undo/redo (cmd+z/cmd+shift+z), so the Mac version still isn't utilising all the available modifiers for the tools to warrant the differences between each OS.

The Affinity apps aren’t the only ones where Ctrl on Windows is Cmd on a Mac. As @walt.farrell has indicated, Windows lacks a direct equivalent to the Mac Ctrl key, so an awkward alternative has to be provided; for what little it’s worth, I’m not convinced that RMB+LMB is the best choice!

I have no idea when this may happen.
What I have found (on Windows) is an 'api-ms-win-core-rtlsupport-l1-1-0.dll' file in the program's directory.
I assume Serif won't comment on that 🙂

Great. line breaking rules are minimum requirement as publishing/printing software.
Even if we put vertical writing feature aside, Affinity is useless as publishing/printing software for horizontal writing as well.
Current state is less usable than simple word processor(or even text editor), people are being so disappointed after they tried Affinity.

Japanese and other Asian language punctuation problems are something that we would aim to fix, and is hopefully achievable in 1.x (as I understand it).
Right to left language support is something that will require a lot more work than this fix,

Black Magic's Davinci Resolve is a good example of multiple softwares being rolled into one. Both Fusion and Fairlight were seperate applications before. Autodesk Maya also have a few applications absorbed into it, but over time it became so integrated that you would not recognize the original apps.
Personally I would be sorry to see one being bundle and I can't see any advantages in doing so.
